I took the NCLEX on Monday, and was devastated when the computer did not shut off after 75 questions. This was definately the hardest test I've ever had to take. I know that the number of questions has nothing to do with how well I did, or whether I pass or not, but I'm worried stiff. I couldn't think straight for about 20 questions after I hit #75, and once I hit 150 I had resigned myself to doing all 265. The computer shut off after 205, and I left the center feeling totally dejected. I have an ICU job that i'm supposed to start on Aug. 15th, and failling the test would mean losing my dream job. I have to think positively, and could definitely use some positive vibes from you guys.

Im waiting myself for results too, but if it makes you feel better, my friend just took the test and had exactly 200 questions and she passed! She just found out. I hope this makes you feel better, Im sure you passed, I worry when it either shuts off at 75 or goes all the way to 265. I think you're going to have RN next to your name shortly, good luck and yo0u're in my thoughts.

I took the exam on Monday too. It is not a great feeling when it shuts off. I pretty much made educated quesses on all questions.
Trust yourself!! You have what it takes to get through--remember that!!
I wish you the very best, and try to keep busy in the meantime....
I may go see a comedy myself....a few laughs may help to relieve the tension--even if only for a couple hours :rotfl:
Thanks for the encouragement you guys. It has helped. Even to know I'm not the only one in this boat has helped me feel better!!! Are you guys going to try to get the quick results from Pearson or wait for results from your BON? Well, I wish you guys the best of luck. BTW a good comedy sound great right now!!!!!

First step is to remain positive. I just finished taking the nclex last thursday and I recieved 265 questions, and i can truly say it was the most difficult test i have taken. 80% of my questions were prioritizing (which patient to attend to first), and after a while they began to get confusing. I found out today that I passed which was a relief for me because I didnt feel I did. I prayed about it alot put it in God's hands and he did the rest. Just keep postive just because you did 205 dosent mean you failed. Some people fail at 75 and some pass at 265.

Hang in there!!! The torture is almost over. It's hard to say whether you passed or not but it seems like if you got mostly hard questions you most likely passed!!!
My friend told me not to pay for the quick results because our BON posts quicker than Pearson. Ask around and see if it's worth it for you.

I took the NCLEX last Thursday and I felt the same way when I left the testing center. I got 233 questions and was certain that I failed. But....I passed!! Keep the faith and stay positive. Keep us posted. :)

I'm sending you some positive vibes straba... like others have said, the number of questions you get doesn't make any difference on how well you did. You did your best, and that's all that matters. Try to concentrate on the fact the more than 80% pass the boards the first time! (I believe that's what it is).
Stay positive, OK?
