My cousin is a dietician for a large school district. From my understanding the majority of her job is figuring out ways to get meals for high allergy/extreme food intolerance kids to fit into USDA standards. So maybe asking about their experience with multiple allergies and intolerances?
I'm just dazzled that they thought to invite you. Nurses and nutrition staff work hand in hand a lot but a lot of people don't know that.
Scenario: You have a kid who has a negative lunch balance, and parent has been informed but has not made any changes to the account. The parent did not complete the free/reduced lunch forms. This is the fourth time in six weeks that the student has a negative lunch balance. What do you do?

Ooooo, that is a good one! (And happens so often.)
I echo the thoughts about food allergies.
Also, I'd ask about how to entice kids to eat healthier foods and/or ways to look at healthier foods that can compete with things like Takis :).

Hello,
Our district is looking for a new Director of Nutrition Services and I have been asked to participate as part of the search committee. I would love some input and ideas about what types of questions I should ask from a nursing standpoint.
We are an urban district, 3500 students, all get free breakfast and lunch
