Questioning base pay salary

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Sorry because so many people post this kind of stuff, but I searched and can't find what I am looking for. I apologize in advance for any redundancy.

What is the average base pay in Arizona ( Tucson vs Phoenix) for an experienced ER nurse with BSN/CEN all the required ACLS/ PALS/ trauma certifications?

I am receiving different offers and they seem to vary considerably based on the facility/ organization. Many seem to be under the "market rate/ average RN salary" for those areas. They are also considerably lower than my current salary. I understand pay may vary state to state and area to area, but once you allow for cost of living vs salary they should be proportionately similar.

Any ballpark numbers would be appreciated, as well as insight into the various facilities. Also, if you work for a great hospital and love your department that feedback would also be appreciated. If you hate your department and it is terrible it would be kind to tell me that as well. I don't want to make a bad decision based on management and hr opinions. Thank you!

Why work salary? Work hourly so you actually make overtime...

Also, this would probably be best placed in the AZ forum rather than the Emergency forum.
