Question about WSSU Accelerated

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

Hello!

I"m applying to WSSU's accelerated nursing program and am very confused about the funding possibility from North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Help!

There is a good chance that I will be moving after graduation. If I accept the funding, can I get out of the contract?

If I don't accept the contract with NCBH or if I don't get funding, can I apply for financial aid from WSSU like other undergraduates?

If I accept the funding and work at NCBH, is it possible to choose what area you work in? For example, if I really only wanted to work in L&D -- how much flexibility can I have about where I work? Also, is it possible to work parttime?

Thanks so much! I can't seem to get clear answers from WSSU on this, so not sure where else to turn!

Oh previous post was for mmuuaa32.

Hello pede84 - I will be commuting from Statesville. Do you read the thread titled Post here if accepted to WSSU ABSN? There are some future classmates on that thread who will be relocating.

If you receive funding from Baptist, then your books are paid for. You just show up at the bookstore and they hand you a stack of books. Books are distributed in packs throughout the year.

Hi pede84,

l haven't find any nice place yet. l have checked most of the apartments online, looking at the the photos and amenities they provide. l have people recommend a couple to me, but am yet to call and find out the deals. l will let you know if l find anything.
