This question is for anyone who has worked as an lpn and has bridged over and now working as an rn, do you see much of a difference in your take home pay? For the same amount of hours worked is your take home:

$0-$300 more per check

$301-900 more per check or

$901 + more per check?

Middle one for me. Or answer B.

I made $8.99/hr as an LPN and $12.85/hr in 1990 when I became an RN.

I started out making $7/hr more as a RN than I did starting out as an LVN/LPN. I can't compare pay checks because as a LVN I worked 8hr shifts, and I currently do 12hr as a RN. Also, the weekend and night shift differentials factor in greatly to my pay check.

It is easier for me to think of it in terms of annual pay versus an hourly rate. However, I'll think back to my first year as an RN (2010).

I earned $27.04/hr with no shift differential as an LVN in 2010 immediately before becoming an RN. My first RN position paid $36.00 hr with a night shift differential of $2.50/hour from 7pm to 11pm and $4.00/hr from 11pm to 7am.
