  1. One good thing about home health! I am allowed to wear polish. I get a manicure every 1.5-2 weeks and keep my nails very short (not past fingertips). I do work with a couple of ladies that have tips and very elaborate designs (crystals, charms, designs).
  2. Oh, girl. Not me. This IBS gets me "going" and I HAVE to go! Working in home health, I know where the good bathrooms are. But there was that one time I was in the middle of BFE...
  3. I do some PRN weekend "RN supervisor" shifts. My role then is to make sure everything is going smoothly, but mainly to cover the mandated 8 hour RN coverage when the DON isn't there.
  4. I don't even know what exactly that is.
  5. I have seen weekend - only positions in home health. Don't know if that's something you've considered.
  6. I didn't have the opportunity in my LVN training--it wasn't allowed at that time. But when I did my ADN training, I had multiple chances.
  7. I have a diagnosis of dysthmic depression, so would be classified as "mentally ill". I would be absolutely offended if someone suggested I need a guardian.
  8. Wouls she qualify for Medicaid? Then she could be safe in a H.
  9. Greetings all! Long-time lurker; first-time poster. I have been working in Home Health for a year now. We chart on Ipad's using Kinnser. I am going to a new company, where the charting is done on paper. I know there's gonna be a learninh curve anytime a person starts a new job, but I admit that I am nervous about the charting change. My question is this: If you had a choice between paper or computer charting, which would you pick? Would you share why? Thanks, Sally
