I took the OIIQ exam in September 2013 and failed.
I retook it the March 2014 exam and probably will be getting the result some time in April.
But just in case I fail I started my application for the CNO
so if I fail the second OIIQ exam I can just apply for the CRNE.
My question is,
1) Are study materials different from the OIIQ than for the CRNE?
I know the format is definitely different but is the material relatively the same in the sense that since I studied for the OIIQ I should be somewhat ready for the CRNE?
(I would of course go through practice questions but background-wise would I be somewhat ready?)
2) I'm going to be registering for the June 2014 CRNE, would start studying when I find out my OIIQ result, would that be enough time for me to study? (since I have the background knowledge from studying for the OIIQ exam?)
Thanks ahead for the replies!

So ur writing the oiiq? That's great. Are you fluent in French? After graduating I've wanted to work in Quebec but wasn't sure if I wanted to write another exam ... How is your medical terminology in French ( for assessment purpose)? Can you suggest how I can improve on my French medical terminology?

Hi there. It's kind of late for answering your question, but.... I recently wrote oiiq and I'm preparing for CRNE. I find they are a lot different and I suggest you look at CRNE or NCLEX prep materials rather than the book for OIIQ prep. Good luck! Great idea to get both even if you do pass oiiq.
