A school that is going to teach you how to be a tech with cover things for both Hospital and Nursing home settings. They are very much related. When I did my CNA course we did clinicals in both settings and I have also worked in both settings. Taking the PCT course will cover all you need. I also live in Florida.

Hi,
My family is moving to Florida in a few months and i wanted to get my CNA certificate and work in the hospital when we get there. I have looked into CNA courses and it seems that the class only prepares you for a nursing home or long term care setting and not for the hospital. Would i be better taking the patient care technician class or should i take both classes? What is the difference between a patient care tech and a CNA?
Also i was wondering what is the BLS certificate i will need?
