  1. Hi, I am a CNA working as a Home Health Aide in NJ. I work with a 14 year old with a neuromuscular disorder. The family has asked me not to wear scrubs. I just wanted to see if other Home Health Aides wore scrubs or do you go to work in street clothes? I would rather wear scrubs as they are easier to move around in and dry faster after giving a bath. Does the family have a say in this?
  2. Hi, I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what a certified nursing assistant can do that a non certified nursing assistant can't do. Thanks for your help.
  3. Hi, My family is moving to Florida in a few months and i wanted to get my CNA certificate and work in the hospital when we get there. I have looked into CNA courses and it seems that the class only prepares you for a nursing home or long term care setting and not for the hospital. Would i be better taking the patient care technician class or should i take both classes? What is the difference between a patient care tech and a CNA? Also i was wondering what is the BLS certificate i will need?
  4. Hi, I am looking into becoming a CNA. I really want to work in the children's hospital, and would love to work in prdiatric oncology or BMT. I was wondering if any of you work in pediatrics and could tell me more about the responsibilities of the CNA, and what my supervising nurse would expect from me. I was also wondering about payscales for CNA's in hospitals? Is there a difference between a CNA and a PCT, i have seen both trainings and don't know which one to take, or if i should take both. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any info you can give me is appreciated. Jaime
