I am currently completing my packet for the army reserves nurse corps & am working on my statement of motivation... does anyone know if they prefer a certain format & is there a length or word limit? Thank you for any & all help!

There's not a lot of stuff out there, but I did mine in about 1-1.5 pages. I thought that this part was one of the harder things, but their 60 odd page packet wasn't fun either

I was advised to keep mine to one page, so I did. The selection board officers don't want to read a novel, they have a lot of packets to look at. Good luck!

Keep it in one page, mine was 3 solid paragraph, sell yourself, tell them why they need to pick you out from the other candidates, tell them what you are bringing to the ARMY.
Thanks for the information! I'm having trouble getting it less than a page. It's 1.5 now. My husband who is an army veteran suggested using the army's 7 values while writing it and this is what has taken most of the space...

That show research and forethought, but you're applying as a nurse. You need some explanation of why you'd be a good nurse for the Army too. What are your career goals and why is the Army integral to helping you achieve them? What things have you done that are unique as a medical professional?
I actually used those in relation to my nursing experience & got it down to a page by changing my font size. My recruiter suggested that.
