Question after registering on Pearson Vue...

Published

I just registered on the Pearson Vue website to schedule my NCLEX RN examination. Paid the fees for the RN exam, logged out and decided to sign in again to see if I could schedule my exam date.

3 questions here:

--> I can't seem to schedule my exam. When I look on the "current activity" tab, there is no option there that says that I can schedule my exam.

--> Should I wait for the authorization to test to arrive first before I schedule an exam date?

--> How long does it take for the ATT (Authorization to test to arrive)?

Thanks in advance guys!

Yes, you need ATT before schedule the exam. I got in 20 min. in email. When you finish your payment. they send you confirm letter about the fee. Right after shortly they send you ATT. and you can make appointment.

Do you sign up on the Pearson Vue website before getting the letter from the board in the mail saying that you're eligible to test? Or wait for the letter?

hi! you have to wait for the letter

Hmm, that's odd on my part.

Right after I registered (paid) and signed off, I immediately signed in again and checked my email as well. The only email I got from Pearson Vue were the "NCLEX receipt" and "NCLEX Registration Acknowledgement". I never got the ATT through my email. I guess I have to wait for the postman to deliver mine. Does anybody know how long will that take?

Also thanks for the reply babywinona23!

Make sure your BON has made you eligible first. No ATT without eligibility.

Ur board should notified u first. if you are eligible to take the test. Wait for your ATT. Then register at Pearson vue. Once register. Booked the test. With in the time specified in the ATT. You can register to Pearson vue. But you cannot booked for a test without your ATT. Hope that's help

limerick,

I'm already eligible. Its just that I don't have my ATT yet.

joe17,

I can't wait to schedule my exam. How long does it usually take for the ATT to arrive in the mail?

Thanks for the clarification guys!

*Register with Pearson VUE and pay their fee. You can reach them at Pearson VUE: Page Not Found – you have a maximum of 5 years from the date you first failed the NCLEX to re-take the exam and pass. You will no longer be eligible to take the exam if you do not pass it within this timeframe.*Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation email after you have registered with them. In that email you will find your Candidate Identification number. The candidate I.D. number is 7 – 9 digits long.*When you are ready to get your Authorization To Test (ATT), email this office and include your full name, date of birth and candidate I.D. number in the email and send it to boards*Your name should be written the same way it is written on your passport and on the application you submitted to this office.* Do not send this request to this office until you are ready to test, as you will only have 90 days in which to test once your ATT is issued. If you have not received your ATT within ten business days of sending your request, please re-send it, as we likely did not receive it the first time.*Once the emailed request is received, this office will contact Pearson VUE within 10 days and have them release your ATT. It could then take up to 72 hours for Pearson VUE to email you your Authorization To Test. Please do not email us multiple times to make sure we got your email.* If you receive our auto-reply, your email came through; however, if you have not received your ATT within two weeks, you should send another request.* Your Pearson VUE status will show as “eligible” once your ATT is issued.*Once you have been made eligible and you get your ATT, you only have 90 days in which to take your exam. If you do not take your exam within the 90 days, you will have to re-register with Pearson VUE and pay their fee again.*Your ATT will be sent to the email address or mailing address you have registered with Pearson VUE. Make sure to check both your inbox and junk/bulk folder for your ATT.***Once you have your ATT, you should IMMEDIATELY contact Pearson VUE to schedule your exam. If you have trouble scheduling your exam within the 90 days at any exam site, please contact the National Council for State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) at 1-312-525-3600 right away.*Examination sites fill up quickly and they may not be able to accommodate you if you do not schedule your exam right away.**
