Question regarding math...

For one college they want you to take Math above Intermediate Algebra. The teachers for the classes on RateMyProfessor are mostly below a 3. The criticism looks legit. I mean they express concerns of too much homework, very little explanation in class, very minimal assistance by the teachers, and classes mainly are done via MyMathLab.

I am not a great math student. The only time I did great in Math was a class completely in the class room, zero computer work, and was a 4 week class. Received an A- in that class.

I am debating to take the class at another CC. It's all online nothing in the classroom. No midterm or finals in class. Teacher has great reviews of emailing students promptly if having difficulty understanding material and willing to meet with students if they need assistance.

What's your thoughts...Take it online or go to class?

If you think you would fare better taking it online then go ahead - that being said, don't be afraid to look to places like khanacademy.org for math help! If you feel like you're getting stuck on a concept, Khanacademy and even coolmath have a ton of walkthroughs that are incredibly helpful, plus KA has an extensive question bank for you to test your knowledge with. :)

Personally, I'd go with the online class - what good is a lecture if the professor doesn't teach effectively? D:

I would 100% take it with the better teacher (so online).

Can you go to a tutoring lab or hire someone to teach you the material if need be?

Well that's the thing. If I get stuck online there's a math lab can utilize at school. Having a flexible schedule be able to utilize it more.
