Hi! I Take my NCLEX Dec 29th, and I'm using Saunders to study. I am consistently getting 70% of the questions right on the quiz and assessment CD practice questions and I am wondering how I figure out what that means in terms of passing. What percentage were other people getting right in Saunders before passing (or failing) the NCLEX? I'm trying to get an idea of how close or far away I am from an acceptable passing level because I have NO clue what 70% of Saunders questions means in terms of passing NCLEX... Thank you! I really appreciate any help or insight you might be able to give me!
Hey guys thanks for all your post! They really helped! I passed! I took the test yesterday and I only had 75 questions. Thanks and to all those how are waiting to take it. Don't give up you will get it! This was my 3rd time taking it and I passed so keep going don't get down! NEW RN!

I used Saunders 4th edition and I had some flash cards too! Mosby's Review Cards for NCLEX_RN, those cards are kind of old though copyright 2003 but they helped when i was on the go to study. I had a lot of questions on priority and infection control so definately brush up on that! But you can do it just take it one day at a time and if you don't get to a specific study area don't panic you know more than you think!
Thanks! Now I gotta try to find a job LOL:lol2: I called around the local hospitals here in Tampa, FL and was told that they just did a big hire so the next new RN internships are not going to be for another 4 months in like May...... so I will post my resume on careerbuilder and monster and yahoojobs. But Thanks for the congrats!
Thanks so much for the hints- I greatly appreciated, I'll try to relax and focus- yeah just one day at a time-I'll focus on prioritization and infection contol as I know I need to brush up on that I've heard it' snot just cut and dry more deeper than that- thanks again and good luck in your job search how exciting!!!!
I'm getting anywhere from 70-80% on practice tests using saunder's & i scored a 940 on the hessi right after i graduated almost 2 months ago. When i reviewed passing scores for the hessi it said anywhere from a 850 to 900 was good for the nclex. I take the nclex exam in 3 days, is there anyone with scores similar to mine who passed the nclex? Thanks.... Not really sure what to think!

Good luck on the NCLEX Scaredso.
I honestly thought Saunders was a bit easy and I got 80's on their tests. I did the Kaplan Q bank questions and the Meds Pub questions also. I thought those two were more helpful than Saunders. Try to do more priority questions and alternate questions because those are the hard ones. For content try to use a review book. I used the Med's Pub review book and it helped me alot especially for the meds. It summarizes all the diseases and meds. Hope it helps! Good luck!
