Doc over stock. 36 divided by 50 is 0.72. You would round off to 0.7 mls.
I have been working on it, and wouldn't it be 3.5 mL? If 50mg comes in 5mL that means 10 mg/1mL... so 3.5 q 6 hours?
You said 50mg/ml,not 50mg/5ml

If it's 50 mg/5 mL then yes you are correct. You stated it was 50 mg/mL in your second post.

Need accurate numbers, and a lot if the time in peds you don't round off numbers.
I agree with this. If the calculated volume is 0.72 mL, we'd give 0.72 mL where I work. With 1 mL oral syringes you can accurately measure volumes to the hundredths place.

Be careful in peds too because there is a formula for safe dosage based on weight. And also be careful on med math questions because does he want what you would give in one dose or what you would give for the total of 24 hours which would be your answer times 4 since it is every 6. They can try and trick you. It's very important to thoroughly understand the question. Sorry if I confused you. Just trying to help. :)
