Yep, hemodilution.
One of my favorite words. It just OOZES that I know what I'm talking about, don't it.
It's kinda like saying, "pre-renal". Not in relation to each other. Just they're both 'cool' words to use.
The antonym for hemodilution, btw, is "dryer than a popcorn fart." Or so one of my co-workers maintains. Hope that's not too pg-13.

I can't for the life of me find the answer to the question,How is H&H affected by the Genitourinary system?
Please Help my client a male has a low H&H and this is one of the questions my instructor wants me to know. (Hemoglobin=11.2, Hematocrit=34)

Dehydration can effect the hematocrit because of lessened fluid volume. The kidneys also manufacture Erythropoiten which stimulates the production of RBC's.
