Hello all,

I will be taking the NCLEX in just a month and a half (yikes!) and I will be VERY pregnant when I do it. I am concerned that I will not be allowed to take in water or a snack and that I won't have enough bathroom breaks.

For those of you who know, can you tell me if you are allowed as many breaks as you need or can you only take breaks at the preset time? Will they let me take in a snack?

Thanks!

Hi there! How nice to come across someone who is in the same boat as me!!!

I am due December 19th and will be taking my exam on November 21st. I will be 36 weeks pregnant when I take the exam and have been wondering about some of the same things!

I hope I will be able to sit in a chair for a period of time without getting too uncomfortable or annoyed. If this happens, I am afraid it might affect my exam.

Hey, btw, is your quote regarding school or the little one? If its the latter I think thats hilarious!

KIT PRN for support :lol2:

I hate to tell you but I don't think this is the best "boat" to be in LOL

I know what you mean. I took a practice NCLEX exam for KAPLAN and after 30 minutes I was completely miserable!

It is actually referring to nursing school but I guess it applies to both!!!

Yes, you can bring snacks & drinks but not in the testing area.

Once you enter Pearson view center,,,they will check your ID(state ID or Driver license or passport) & your NCLEX ATT. You will be finger printed ( just index finger)...and a photo session ( so put on some make up....LOL

You will be given a locker, its usually located at the reception room. You will be asked to empty your pockets ( coins, wallets, watch, jewelries). You will store all these items and your snacks in your locker.

All you can bring in the testing area besides the clothes you're wearing and your shoes, is your ID or passport and your locker key.

I suggest you drink water, go to the restroom before reporting to the testing area.

Upon entering the testing area...you will again present you ID and you will be fingerprinted again (this happens everytime you leave and re enter the testing area for your breaks)..

They will provide you with a plastic writing pad, a pen and and earplugs( upon request... i suggest you take the earplugs too).

You can take breaks as often as you like....just raise your hands. Remember, Your Testing time does not stop when you take your break....so make it quick. GLTY
