Any foreign nurse that I have worked with have had to get a new document from Pearson-Vue if their was one letter incorrect in their middle name.
All of the literature that comes from their office states that the name must be an exact match to what your ID states. Not one thing can be any different, so that means middle name as well.
Do they even give you an option to spell out your middle name on driver's license? I don't think I've ever seen that on anyone's driver's license.
That would be the easiest to change at this point, but I don't know if they can even fit my full first, middle, last name on my driver's license! What a mess! I hope just an middle initial is okay--christvs, let us know!

Hi Kitty May! Sorry to make you worried too! I just want to be sure everything is all set so I don't get any surprises when I walk in to take my test! I'm going to call Pearson Vue tomorrow and ask about the middle name thing and if needed, get them to fix my ATT and just e-mail me the corrected copy. You're right: I have never seen anyone's driver's license with their entire middle name on it! My full first, middle and last names have 26 letters in total!! There's no way it would all fit! Same with my passport. Anyhow, try not to worry (of course I'm sitting here worrying a lot as I write this! lol) and I promise I'll post here tomorrow what pearson vue said so everyone can benefit from what they say!

Not to worry you any more than you already are BUT.....I live in NC and just got my licence (after moving here from GA). Anyway, because of 9/11 NC passed a new law that makes it mandatory for your spelled out middle name to be on your drivers licence!!!
Don't worry though. I had applied to take the NCLEX with Pearson Vue before I got my driver's licence and I did NOT include my middle name. Once I got my NC driver's license I too panicked. However, All I had to do was to contact the North Carolina board of nursing (via email) and they changed it. Pearson vue will not change it. It must be done through your BON. Anyway, it was fixed within a week.........
any questions feel free to ask.
It states at pearson Vue that the name must match EXACTLY on your ATT with what is on your primary ID. I confirmed it with my BON.....specifically mentioning the middle name/initial as that is what my problem was.
It was an easy thing to fix......You just don't want to get to the testing center and have to deal with that problem!

Hi guys! I have a question for those who already took NCLEX: Now I am worried about if my ID is ok to use at the testing center when I go to take the exam. I'm worried cuz I saw that it said on my ATT that the name on my ATT must be the exact same name as on my ID. I'm worried cuz on my ATT it says my first name, full middle name and last name (ex-Mary Susan Smith), but on both my driver's license and passport it only says my first name, middle initial and last name (ex-Mary S. Smith). Is it ok to have your full middle name on the ATT but only your middle initial on your IDs? Is this ok or am I just totally finding something new NCLEX-related to worry about? Thanks!
