Queens University ABSN Program

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

Since there are not many recent posts about Queens' accelerated BSN program, are there any current students or grads who can give their perspective?

I am applying for Summer 2016 and would love to hear what people think!

Otherwise, is anyone else applying for next year as well?

I am also waitlisted. Queens is not my first choice as I am actually trying to do an accelerated grad entry NP program, so I'm not too bummed. But was interested in an ABSN to save money and Charlotte is close to my boyfriend. Oh well, I guess we will all see!

The traditional program would be 2 years. The only difference between the two tracks is that the traditional track gives you the summer off. It seems to me like A LOT of people were wait listed. So far I've heard of one acceptance and four wait listed.

i also asked about the traditional track. it's basically the same. same classes, summers off though. 2 years. PLUS 2 years of $30+K in tuition v/s the 750/credit in the ABSN track.

Well I can now click on Admissions and Admission status when I'm logged in, but I don't see anything under status. Seems like the same problem @az1506 was having. Has anyone who has received their letter been able to see anything under status?

I have both. I don't know why the stud isn't updated for some people.

I emailed admissions and they said they would look into it and to keep checking the mail. I'm worried that since I live a little further away (in Texas) that I wont get it until after the weekend and I can't wait that long!

They said they mailed the letters on Monday so that should help to know when you should expect them.

What was your GPA and for the ones that got wait listed did you get in

I would like to apply for next year and I would like to know my chances of getting in thank you for your response

I was just curious. Did every one who didn't get in right away get wait listed or did some people just not get in?

I had a 3.4 on my prereqs and a 3.7 overall. I was rejected, no waitlist! Oh well, on to looking for other programs!

I was waitlisted

GPA: 3.34

Undergrad: Ohio State University (all prereqs completed there as well)

Major: Psychology

I'm currently a nurse aide
