I am starting a nursing program in the fall and it has been a couple of years since I have taken A&P. Does anyone know anything about the ADAM software, and how good it would be as a way to refresh my memory on some of the basics?
Thank you.

My A&P book came with an ADAM CD in it. I got just as much (or more) info from the internet (such as webanatomy). Really helped with studying with its quizzes.
BTW, I just found out last night I got a 95% on my final, giving me a 96% overall. YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!

The ADAM stuff has some neat animations, and it can be useful if you're a very visual learner. Personally, I don't see using it as much of an advantage over not using it because the A&P textbooks contain illustrations that are just as easy to follow. Many A&P textbooks include a stripped down version of the software, or If you can borrow it from the library that would be cool. I wouldn't buy the stand alone full-version of the software though because I don't think its worth the price.

I liked the version I got with my A&P book. It helped me out a lot. Don't know if I would buy the stand-alone version though.

I'm using the ADAM software for my A&P course that starts Monday. I like what I've seen so far.

We can buy Adam as an optional CD for A&P. I used it in my EMT class and I will pay the extra $60 to get it!!1 Well worth it!

We're required to have it for our A&P class. It cost $50.

The course that I am taking requires the Adam CD. Personally, I think there are much better sources on the internet. The cd is clunky and seems like it is outdated technology or something. I wouldn't buy it if I didn't have to. I hardly use my cd and I am doing just fine in A&P.

ADAM is ok, but it can be quirky with the way it updates the screen. I agree that the text book is just as good. However, our lab had numerous computers that the TA would load ADAM images on for our test. In this case it was good to be familiar with ADAM.

That's my biggest complaint about the program. I've found that problem to be a real pain. I'm kinda surprized they don't make it easier to use, considering what they charge for it.
