In case you are frantic, nuts and or luney after the nclex, after the pvt - good pop-up im here to tell you it still works. I took the boards 1/7/14 I got 75 question. I left feeling confident . Got home and the dread kicked in. I did the PVT got the good pop-up. So the countdown began I was bummed no license the next day like fellow classmates. I began to doubt the validity of the PVT. Especially since so many idiots was calling pearson vue asking about the trick and telling them how people were doing it. I was for sure 2014 they fixed it and I failed. BUT, Nope just checked the PA-BON my RN license is up :). However the pearson site still say results not available. So much for the quick results.

So be patient, study hard you can do it. congrats to all the future 2014 nurses....

Hey Keysha take a deep breath. It's not the number of questions. But if you got the good pop up. You passed. Keep me posted so I can say congrats

I got the quick results today. I PASSED!!!!!!!!!

Told you congrats fellow nurse. Enjoy

What is the "good pop-up"?

I took mine last weekend and got the good pop up. Just saw my name and number on the BON website!!! It still works!!

The pvt still works! Been getting the good pop up all through the weekend. Found out today that im officially a LPN!!!!!

PVT is not a good indicator of pass/fail.

I took the NCLEX-RN on 11/4/14 and after 85 questions the computer shut down and with it all of my body systems. I like so many others, walked out of the testing center in zombie mode, I didn't know what just happened. I had absolutely no patience for the 48 hour quick results so immediately upon exit I did a Google search on what to make of it all. I found several blogs promoting the PVT. Well it can't hurt anything right and I'm desperate for my results...let me try it. I was allowed to proceed to page two and the submit button and never received a pop up...gasp!!! Every site said this was fail proof and if you don't get the "good pop up"...you've failed. Omg!! My heart dropped and as my world caved in I tried to fight back the tears with positive thoughts and outlook. What was the worst thing that could happen?...I'd have to retake in 45 days (let me be clear that was NOT an option.)

Anyhow...I continued to pray, I occupied my time by going to gym and I waited. We'll today 11/6 I logged into Pearson to retrieve my results and guess what...they're not available....dammit! I sat there still a nervous wreck and something said "try BON site" I click verify license, click on rn endorsement....nothing. OK let me try graduate nurse permit...nothing. Oh my goodness...let me try rn nclex....no record found. Have I failed and they completely removed me from the system...that's the only logical thing, right? Again that voice said try RN license...I enter my details and low and behold...Registered Nurse, license number and everything!!!

I shared this info because I saw that only those with the "good pop up" were sharing that they passed. Again I did not receive it but passed!! So don't fret new NCLEX test takers and don't be dissuaded by the PVT, it is NOT a true indicator of pass/fail.

Hope this helps someone and reduces some stress.

Qiana RN!!

Sometimes reviving a very old thread is a very bad idea.....Pearson Vue updated its registration software August 22nd; along with the upgrade, changes in what screens are seen and when changed too.

While it's true that PVT is definitely NOT conclusive in any way, using it "the old way" is DEFINITELY a mistake.

Read the many, many (many, MANY!) threads on this topic to get caught up on how the stupid thing works now :)
