PVT 2016

Published

The PVT works! I've noticed that it is not a good indicator of if you failed (even if they took your money so don't lose hope if you get the "bad popup"), but it is a PERFECT indicator of if you passed. So, if you get the "good pop-up" then YOU PASSED!

Every single person and every single account that I read as well as myself and my classmates who have done the trick has shown the the PVT works positively for those who recieve the "good pop-up" Every single time. PVT in 2016 is very accurate. Anything mentioned before 2014 is irrelevant because Pearson Vue has undergone an update.

That's what I thought too, but it happened to me. My classmates who got the good pop up, passed and those who got the cc page, failed. My case was rare, I got the good pop up and then the bad.

I just can't justify possibly blowing the $200 :dead:

Omg. Can we please stop it with this. PVT is a glitch. The only true results are BON or quick results. FFS we are nurses trained in evidence based practice

Thank you!!!!

Telling people they can definitively know they have passed based on a work-around that may or may not have any link whatsoever to the actual status of the results -- just no.

It sucks to wait. It sucks to not know. It is impossible, excruciating to try and put it out of your mind until you can get the official results. But don't get sucked in. It's not worth it.

Justbeachynurse is right. I took the nclex 12/30/15 and got the good pop up 4 hours after the exam. Checked it again later that evening and to the next morning and still got the good pop up. The next day in the afternoon, I got a decline cc message. And when I waited for 48 hrs for the quick result, I failed. She is just saying its best to check it after 24 hours for more accurate result. So yes it may change on you before the 24 hours is up because it happened to me. I used a $10 visa gift card. Good luck everyone!

I meant she is saying just wait 48 hours for the accurate result.

My classmates and I tested this recently. We all tried the trick and had a mix of good pop ups with passing, and bad pop ups with passing, One who got a good pop up and failed, and our other who got a bad pop up and failed.

This was done with about 7 people and it concludes that it does not indicate anything. We did it the day after the test (more then 24 hours) Dec 2015, and Jan 2016.

I don't doubt you are telling the truth, or saying that your friend is lying, but I always hear and read of someone who "has a friend" or "heard about somebody" getting the good pop up and failing. I have never heard, read, or seen a person who post their own first hand experience of waiting 24 hours, getting the good pop up and still failing. I don't dispute the validity of your claim, that is just an observation I have made. The PVT worked for me and eased my anxiety. It clearly worked for you as well seeing you got the good pop up and passed. It has also worked for your other 5 friends and thousands of others. So, if ANY ONE out there is wanting to try it, they should!

guys, I passed and am officially active on the boards 18 days post exam....I did the whole CC thing, using a low balance gift card, and then risked the $$$ on pop up. Honestly , isn't cray 2 risk 200 if results are 7.95? I called the boards , which in hind sight might work for you. In CT a supervisor approves your test results, so when I was told my file was w the supervisor pending final licensure approval, I kinda knew then....on the 28 Dec...6 days post exam.

So did you get the "good" pop-up that says, "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

or the "Bad" pop-up that says your credit card has been declined?

The way you write things isnt very clear.

How would you be risking $200 if it was a gift card?

Are you saying the Pearson Vue Trick DID or DID NOT work for you??

To Clarify: PVT worked for me.

My test shut off after 75 Q? which took an hour. I thought I either failed or passed, and there was no way 2 be 100% sure. I started googling and learned of the PVT trick.

1. Initially, I waited 12 H post exam to attempt the PVT. When I did, I received a " good pop up", after I attempted to re-register using a valid gift card loaded with a balance of 19.73....less then the 200.00 needed for exam fee.

2. 72H later my test results were released. I opted not to pay 7.95 and attempted to re-register for another exam using a valid credit card. Risky move on my part, since I could have been charged the 200.00 fee. Why risky? There are numerous posts from ppl who passed the NCLEX and still were charged 200.00 re-registration fee. In hindsight, 7.95 fee for the unofficial results is a lot safer choice. I received what has been referred to as the good pop up, " Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled an exam. Another registration cannot be made".

3. I called up the boards, 6 days post exam and indirectly my results were revealed to me when the agent divulged to me that my file was being processed for licensure. Why would they process it for licensure if I failed.

4. 18 days later my license # was posted on the BON board.

I finished my Nclex - RN today at 6ish. I tried the PVT just now (4 hours later) and received the good pop up.I

will update with my actual result. I really hope I passed, the wait is killing me !!
