  1. Passed!
  2. I just want to understand why people think there's any relation to the PVT & actual test results? Does anyone know FOR SURE the Pearson website, somehow, has whether or not you passed in it before the 48 hours? How is there any relation? And for the message of the good pop-up: I DID recently schedule an exam... why would that indicate I passed?
  3. Post 24 hours - "good" pop-up remains.
  4. Welp, I may be the one to prove it wrong. Took my test yesterday @ 1pm. I, basically, dedicated my life to studying for NCLEX-RN. Did thousands of questions, used numerous resources, I ALWAYS scored above-average on every practice test I did (UWorld, Hurst, Kaplan). As I was taking it, I felt the questions were easy, but yet I wasn't familiar with the material. I feel like the test never passed the "passing line", as it seemed too content-based, too basic. It shut-off at 75. I've done the PVT, just for the hell of it. All "positive" pop-ups (I change my expiration date and CVC), yet I am not, by any mean, acquiring any peace from it. I'll keep everyone updated.
  5. This is the strangest thread I've ever read in my life. The person who posted it acts like he/she is a wizard/genius/whatever of sorts with a secret formula of knowing everything. Do well in school, graduate, study hard for 2-4 weeks, stay calm, and pass (like 85% of people do). Go to work, save money, have a family, do good, & make sure you receive a nice coffin.
  6. I test Friday :) How was it? Did it meet your expectations?
  7. What were your previous question trainers scores? I would suggest pretending like QT6 is the actual NCLEX - so study hard for a couple days then take it. Then take an easy day, just review QT6, relax. Then pretend QT7 is the actual NCLEX - so study hard for that one concentrating on the things you struggled with in QT6. Then for the last few days leading up to your NCLEX, review what you struggled with.. I would go back and review what you missed on UWorld (I'll be doing that soon, too). Here's to us :)
  8. Well, I test Friday. Three years of hard work will come down to one test. I've used UWorld (almost done) w/ an average of 70% I'm doing Question Trainer 7 tomorrow. I scored 70+ on the last two. My Hurst scores have been over 84/125 on my last three attempts. I scored 95% and 99%(chance of passing) on ATI's NCLEX-RN Predictor exams. I know these scores are above-average, but I can't help still feeling inadequate. I am going to feel so relieved when I see "Pass". Consider this post a board for encouragement for everyone. For any successful test-takers: do you have any advice now that I'm entering the final days? Thanks, and good luck to everyone.
  9. I test Friday for the first time. I've used ATI (through the school), Hurst, Kaplan (through the school), UWorld, and LaCharity's: Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment. Hurst is OK and it's good for content, but I don't feel it was worth the money. Kaplan is really solid (content and strategy), but expensive. I don't like ATI. If you're good on content and want to work on strategies and answering APPLICATION and ANALYSIS questions w/out spending $300-$500 (passing-level questions), I would definitely recommend UWorld (primarily) and LaCharity. UWorld is amazing. For only about $50 you'll have access to a question bank of 1,750 questions (for one month). EVERY answer has an incredible rationale (unlike Hurst, ATI, and Kaplan) that helps you retain information. UWorld will make you comfortable answering SATAs (w/ over 30% of the total questions being SATAs) unlike the rest. UWorld provides amazing statistics (you can see what % of people answered a question correctly). If you read the reviews (which is best? which bank is MOST like NCLEX-RN?), you will see that people agree UWorld questions are MOST like NCLEX questions. Good luck! Keep going strong.
  10. Great job! I test Jan. 8th. Thing is, I have so many resources available, I definitely won't be able to utilize everything. So, I'm wondering: how do you feel about ATI? Was it comparable? Do you think it helped you? Thanks, and congrats, again. Big accomplishment. I feel, and I'm sure most feel, life is in limbo until we see "PASSED"
  11. Instead of worrying about whether or not labs/meds will show-up on your test, you should concentrate on KNOWING them - particularly labs. Which labs are you having trouble committing to memory? For medications, organize them into groups and look for unique side effects (-pril = ACE Inhibitors --> risk for hypotension, angioedema, dry cough, hyperkalemia), then work from there & try to learn more about popular, specific drugs. Good luck! I'll be taking mine around that day too :)
  12. UWorld updates their questions like crazy to be consistent with evidence-based practice. Concerning the difference between the two about this particular disease process: you'll remember the differences about this if you see it on NCLEX... so, just answer to the best of your ability and knowledge. Right now, you have more knowledge about it than most test takers. Who's to say that the newer research is "damning" enough for the NCLEX to consider and who's to say there isn't other evidence that's just as recent which suggests the opposite? I wouldn't concern myself about specifics like that - remember, NCLEX is looking for minimal competency - the VAST MAJORITY of students would select "avoid nuts and corn" in a question like that.. a GREAT MAJORITY of students end up passing the exam. Take a deep breath, and good-luck :)
  13. Having unexpectedly fail a class (actually, a clinical), I can emphasize on how much it sucks and how much of a failure you must feel like, etc. I graduate Thursday - top of my class. Just keep your head up & try again. It's really as simple as that. It will suck having to take it again and being held back a semester, but TIME FLIES. I failed that clinical LAST summer ('14) and had to retake it that Fall - ever since then things have gone by so fast. Learn from your mistakes and be better for it.
  14. Congrats :) I must say though, just because you happened to get that pop-up and ended up passing doesn't necessarily mean it "worked" - it could've easily been coincidental. There was an 85% chance of you passing the NCLEX-RN, regardless (the national passing rate).
  15. I have HURST. It's OK. It's great for content. It also includes 6 exams.. which are helpful (I've taken 4 over the past 3 months; improvements on each exam). I wouldn't use it ALONE. I would suggest using UWorld, in addition, because HURST questions aren't exactly NCLEX-like questions. You can't go wrong w/ UWorld.
