Hi,
I am applying to PVAMU in the spring of 2015. I wanted to start a thread and see who else may be applying.

For the background check, there's a paper in the packet that states that the school will email us a FAST PASS...
I am going to submit my packet tomorrow and ask them about that.
Hi guys I just got my package at nursing school. I got confused with the titer and vaccinations. According to the requirements, if either one is OK..getting shot or titer measurement. I got TDAP last year and I don't want it again. I even don't know if those tests and drug screening will be covered by my insurance. ....???
I am wandering if we take these forms to the physician and labcorp? There is no need to have other forms from clinicals? Sorry I don't know where to start I was bombed by those forms.
Hi blueberry,
I needed a titer of MMR, Varicella, and Hep C. I got vaccinated with the rest. The school requires titer... so even though you had been vaccinated you still have to get the titer.
The drug test is $35 and i was not covered by my insurance... And for the lab corp, just make an appointment online and bring the paper. they know what to do...

Hi guys! I was scrolling through the post and found this! I am a graduate of the CON, and we have a Facebook page where you can chat with other first semester students, upper classmen, and graduates as well. It's called "PVAMU nursing students". It is really helpful. Good luck!

Hey guys! I finally got my acceptance packet!! I'm so excited, I look forward to meeting all of you soon...
So if we have already gotten the hep B series ( 1, 2, and 3) in the past... we do not need the titers for that correct?

Okay awesome! Thank you for clearing that up! :)
