I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for PVAMU CON 2011 hopefulls! As you will see, I have a lot of questions and concerns! I am at Texas Southern University and I am applying for spring 2011. My science, core, and overall GPA's are above a 3.5 and i have taking the HESI and recieved 84 on math and grammar, 85 on reading comp, but i missed the A&P by 3pts.. i made a 72:mad:! But it was b/c i was taking the exam for UT and they require the vocab and i before i began the A&P section I was crying b/c i failed the vocab section.. i was ******! Anyways, any adive on what to study for the vocab section or A&P section (even though i found it somewhat easy)? I hope this thread will help us in the long run! :)
And if there is already a thread for sorry didnt find it!
blackberrie_281,
So have you already registered for the classes? or are we all registering for the classes until the January orientations?
How do the class times look? do they have two different classes available on the same day? Did they mention by when should we know what our schedule would look like?
I'm trying to have an idea..i'm in the process of transitioning from full time work to part-time..
Thank you
once yall go to yalls orientation on the 8th they will give out yalls alternate ID so yall can get on panthertracks and pre registar for classes. they do have more than one day for each class (ex health ass. 12-5 MON, 8-12 TUE, 9-1 THUR), but not the same class on the same day at a different time (ex. health ass 12-5 MON OR 6-10 MON), with most classes being from tue-thur.(only 2 subjects are offered on mon and fri, i believe) the classes you pick out will almost certainly be the classes you have for spring, unless they are forced to make changes.
does everyone know how to log onto panther tracks?
and yes i have pre registered for classes
also they said its not reccomended to take 2 classes on the same day..if you gotta do it though, and you think you can manage, i say go for it. i was going to take patho and basic concepts together, but decided not to. so now im driving to main campus (and clinical) 4 days a week instead of 3. (we have clinicals once a week)
also, once clinicals start we have to go to our chosen hospital and pick a patient to do a careplan/assessment on the day before clinicals, which will be due at the clinical site the next day, before the start of clinicals (7am).
(ex. tue. i go to the hospital and choose a patient to do my care plan on, go home, finish it. wed i turn in my care plan at 6:45 and we start the clinical day at 7)
hopefully we can maybe choose our patient early in the week so we could have enough time to finish the careplan before clinicals (like choose mon., clinicals wed) idk if we can, jus thinking aloud.

Angel 1990 were you there too at the transfer day?
I was there, I wish I knew who you were
. I was seating towards the middle section. Anyways, do you know when do we actually get to register for the parking contract for the whole year-can we do that now or do we have to wait until the orientation on January?
