Be careful with eBay. You can rent at chegg.com, there is also amazon (but if you purchase from a private seller check their reputation/history to make sure you are getting what you pay for. Plus some use media mail which can take 4-6 weeks to arrive, a few of my classmates ran into issues with the delay in media mail--especially since one paid for priority mail) There are a few other websites, but I can't think of names. You can check with your school if any former students are selling their textbooks. Some schools will link up former and current students for just this purpose.
In my school students constantly recycled our clinical and lab uniforms annually (my case it was handy since I was a lot smaller at the end of the school year plus you can't wear the uniform with school patch other than when you are a student) between classes. The nursing department secreatary made arrangements to have the uniforms professionally cleaned at dept expense before distributing to the new class. This was a big savings for many students.
Good luck. Once you get your book list and ISBN numbers you can start looking at B&N, amazon, etc. Sometimes B&N has specials for text books, one year it was an extra discount if you had their membership card. I saved much more than the membership so it was worth it to me to sign up.

You can also rent books at Barnes and Noble I think my mom rented a few books from there to finish her BSN online so try there as well as amazon and like someone else said, be very careful with ebay good luck

Thankfully our school is buying our textbooks for us and are loaning them to us but we can write in them Im a highlighter freak and at first I was just gonna buy them cheaper on amazon and what not, but i found sticky notes made by avery to buy a whole heap of those but that fine & waaayyyyy cheaper!!! But i rented my dosage calculations book from chegg.com the end of may 4 $10!! & its do back on the 15th of this month & it didnt take long to get it either. So you can try that & buy the book later if you just really want it.

Hello! I ordered my first textbook yesterday from Half.com, I have experience with having to get text book since I went to college for 5 years. I usually do amazon, and half.com or even textbooks.com I'm kinda weary on renting books just because I want to do whatever I want for books!
