Hey, it's not a total loss. I learned quite a bit from the OP's thread! :)

I am so happy we were here to assist someone with obtaining knowledge he/she never considered.

You're going to be a great Nurse, "Halcyonn".

I learned something today. Never knew this about an aortic aneurysm.

Part of the Aorta descends through there. That would explain why you heard a pulse, especially if you're listening closer to the middle of the body.

More commonly than the faint pulse, you will hear what is consider bruit. Depending on the location of your stethoscope you may hear renal or aortic stenosis. More than likely faint bruit is an indicator your patient has stenosis of those arteries.

Just giving a little excess information

Is the patient a pregnant female in her second trimester of pregnancy?

Alas, the OP has left the building. Her homework questions wasn't answered fast enough, so she may never come back. Sigh.

Please keep answering these questions/encouraging discussion, if not for the OP, for all the rest of us.
