Anyone out there have info on the school in Arecibo, PR? It is a 24 month program that begins in August.

I'd love to hear anything, thanks.

I believe that you'll have Basics, Fundamentals, clinicals for Fundamentals and Pharmacology the first trimester (from beginning of August to end of October/beginning of November). Then you have Adult Care 1, clinicals for Adult Care 1, Psychosocial and clinicals for Psychosocial in the second trimester (from November to mid February). Then in the third trimester (from mid Feb. to end of May) you'll have Adult Care 2, clinicals for Adult Care 2, Maternal/Neonatal and clinicals for Maternal/Neonatal. Then they should give a class for Pediatrics and the clinicals for Pediatrics in the summer session for June from the 1st to the 28th, and that's how you get finished so quickly. That's what they're doing right now, Peds and they'll be done with it. For those who are staying for the BSN and went home for the summer, they can take Peds and the clinicals in August. HTH!

I'm glad at least one VI person gonna b there. I haven't found housing yet...I'm looking at areas near the train or right near the school that is walking distance. When r u planning on making the trip there?

Hey, so how much is a house say out in guyanabo? nothing fancy, just a small place? im looking at classificados and there are some that are like 8000 or 10000, ive been to puerto rico twice and it is a bit run down in most parts. any decent site for looking up real estate prices?? also spirit airlines is running a special for flights from east coast of usa to pr, but u got to buy by like the 13th....its like a hundred bucks round trip. check it!!

Are you going to take a car? Im looking for areas more closer to the school. I want to be as close to the school as I can. I want to make a trip this month. I emailed a few landlords about some apts I saw online. I have some pics. But. IDK. I guess I would have to see them in person.

No I'm not taking a car. I want something close to school or on a train line so I wouldn't need a car. I haven't actively looked for housing as in calling around yet. I figure it would be much easier to just go and see what I come up with after walking around a bit.

So do you already have a degree? I have some classes, but not many. Are you doing the ADN or BSN?

I have 118 credits...not completely finished my bachelors....I have all my generals except the spanish class....I want to do the accelerated ADN. I can get a job at the hospital with an ADN and then do an online RN-BSN.

Yes I am currently on St. Croix. I moved back in 2009.

StCroixFutureNurse, the hospitals that I know for sure that they've used are Auxilio Mutuo, the VA, Centro Medico, HIMA in Caguas, and for Psychosocial I went to San Juan Capestrano. Boy was that an adventure LOLLLLLLL

Are there any Entrance Test? Such as the TEAS or HESI to get into Inter?
