  1. I just took the teas v this past saturday, what i would say to study is like how two elements bond, like how u count the electrons in all the different shells, and how u can deduce what is going on by just looking at the two or three elements before and after the chemical equation, also know the dna and rna stuff backwards and forwards, they ask about an imaginary rna and dna strand and how it will bond, but its really complex, kinetic energy versus static very very well, carbon-12 and how all that crap works, ionization, ions, and on the english part, all the parts of speech, and all the clauses, etc, they mix them all up and ask u to edit it all, and style, i missed most of the style questions.
  2. Can anyone pls help me out who has taken the teas v lately? i test this saturday and am far behind, was wondering if u could tell me anything u remember from the test pls? [email protected] thanks!
  3. the only other real question i have posed on here and it never got answered was i asked any former inter nursing students to chime in if they got a job when they got back to the states and NO former students responded,
  4. worldtraveling yogi thanks for the kind words, but if u read back on the forum u will see that the post clearly states that there is an 11 month program and a 2 year program and a 3 year program but to consult with the school, so this is what i did and they allegedly put me thru to the nursing department and i called there twice yesterday, one girl said there is not an 11 month program and that there is one a year and a half program, then another girl said that there is a two year program only, im speaking in regards to the adn, so i guess im crying wolf so whatever...
  5. do they still have the 11 month accelerated adn program? i called them today and some woman said that the accelerated adn program is a year and a half, i explained to her that i have a bachelors in science already and she said it is still a year and a half.
  6. Hello everybody! I am going to apply for august 2012 and have called the school several times but they are not answering the phones again, can someone PM me E's contact info so I can apply pls? thanks in advance,
  7. hey femama, i plan on at this point geting my adn then returning to florida and then getting my bsn here in florida somewhere. hey does anyone know if there is a msn program in english in pr?
  8. Hey FeMaMa, thanks for the reply, she was a young girl that i spoke to so maybe she doesnt know, i hope that there are no problems sitting for the nclex when i return! I am coming down in august of next year to do the 11 month adn as i already have a BS in environmental science, my question is about nursing skills, will i learn nursing skills in the 11 month program, like how to draw blood, put in an IV put in a catheter all these things i need in the real world?
  9. I just got of the phone with the Florida Board of Nursing and they scared me! They said that since Puerto Rico is not in Florida that I would have to send my transcripts to some agency in Miami to be evaluated. They also recommended contacting a Florida Nursing school and making sure the required curriculum that is taught in the Florida nursing schools is very similar to what is being taught in Puerto Rico, if not then I will have to take more classes, this is especially frightening when it comes to anatomy and physiology.
  10. Any other former or current Interamerican nursing students out there that can comment on the quality of the education at this nursing school pls? I am now extremely nervous that if I move down there and pay out all this money that I wont even be taught how to pass the N-Clex and to me that is the primary goal of a nursing program. Also, about the clinicals are we going to learn skills that we need to know to get a job in the 'real world'?? Does anyone know the N-clex passage rate for this school as of say last year and the year before and where can we as possible students see this information for ourselves?
  11. how much does metropolitan university cost pls?
  12. anyone know the price of Metropolitan University pls??
  13. Hi, does anyone know if Metropolitan University has pre-req's if so, what are they? How much cheaper are they?
  14. Hey, so how much is a house say out in guyanabo? nothing fancy, just a small place? im looking at classificados and there are some that are like 8000 or 10000, ive been to puerto rico twice and it is a bit run down in most parts. any decent site for looking up real estate prices?? also spirit airlines is running a special for flights from east coast of usa to pr, but u got to buy by like the 13th....its like a hundred bucks round trip. check it!!
  15. Ok, thanks! Im just thinking that UMET might sound better on a resume...any former students out there in the workplace care to chime in here??
