I have a interview in couple of days for public health job, thats mainly working with kids. This area is completely new to me, I don’t know a lot about the day to day routine.
any advice for the interview? Like Things that might come up during the interview, or things I should know about public health.
plus if anyone wants to share what there experience is working in this area.
I’ve check the public health forum, but doesn’t look like it gets used anymore.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a passing acquaintance with pediatric vaccines and schedules. Also reportable communicable diseases, assessing growth and development, screening for abuse.
If the public health forum is dormant, check out the school nurses. They are a lively group and would be a wealth of good info.
Good luck!

Since you say this is a new area for you, I would focus on figuring out how to tie in your previous experience outside of this specialty into this new specialty so that you can highlight it during the interview. Sure you not have experience with public health and pediatrics officially, but your ED experience could translate well.
