has anyone taken this class yet? please let me know how it is, how easy/hard/fun? any pointers? thanks amy:nurse: :monkeydance:
I thought Human Development was an advanced Psych class to be taken after the pre-req intro to Psych course? At least that's how it's done at my school.
I think most schools consider it an advanced class, and maybe it is, but I really did not think it was any harder than general psychology. I guess my interest made it more interesting, and therefore, I found it an easy class.
I know a guy that took Human Growth & Development before General Psych.
Out of the 250 college credits I earned (I've been in school for over 7 years) my general psych class was probably the most important 3 credits I have ever earned in terms of transfering to all of the schools I've attended and getting into nursing school. While I enjoyed the course, I didn't like it as much as my human development class.

I'm guessing the progression is because the G&D course (what we called Lifespan Development) assumes you are already familiar with Maslow's Hierarchy, Freud's theories, etc. that you learned in 101. Nothing you can't learn while in the class, though.
