assuming that is general psychology, i loved the class. i loved both of my psychology classes and made very high a's in them. i took general psychology with a&p 1 and human growth and development in a short summer semester, so neither class was hard at all.

good luck

I've already taken Into to Psych (Psy271) and I loved it. I found it extremely interesting and I had a lot of fun learning the material. I think that classes are what you make out of them. If you put in the necessary time and efforts you will be rewarded. Having a great instructor does help though.

I acctually wasn't a big fan of general psych. My teacher was a bit of a ninny and the class was rather baddly organized. It really kinda left a bad taste in my mouth for psych. I'm taking lifespan psych right now and am really startting to enjoy it.

I think whether or not you enjoy the class depends on the teacher and your own interests.

I've found that most of my psych classes are like going to a stand up comedy act - psychology teachers are always the funniest and most laidback, from my experience. General Psychology was an easy A, and I'm taking Human Growth & Development now. I wouldn't stress over it :)

I think psychology is interesting, so that made the class seem a lot easier. The teacher can really make a difference though. Good luck!

I'm taking psych this semester along with some others. It is very interesting but like every other class, you have to put work into it.

What are you taking this semester and what have you tanken so far ?

I thought Human Development was an advanced Psych class to be taken after the pre-req intro to Psych course?

At least that's how it's done at my school.

No..i can take Psych after Human Development...it made no diffence at my school of what order.

Here's a unique perspective: The first time I took it, sometime in the 80's, I really enjoyed it all, the subject matter and the instructor. Got an A. Liked it so much, in fact, I went on to take a few MORE psych courses (more advanced, of course) just because I liked it!

Found I had to take 101 again in the early part of this century for the RN because it was too OLD and my later psych credits didn't count because they weren't specific to curriculum (gggr....like Freud's changed his opinion since then???). Also got an A, but no thanks to instruction: it wasn't challenging, it wasn't particularly interesting, and it certainly could have been.

So, whether you will enjoy this or hate it, whether you take lots of thoughts away with you or finally become happy to heck it's over with, has alot of variables.

Hopefully, you'll enjoy it! :)

I had sooooo much fun with that class :)
