re: May 2021 - I anticipate starting May 2021 as well. I’ll be a post-graduate certificate student. Are you doing the whole thing? Let’s keep in touch!! I’ll start a new thread when I have more time.

Yes. I am BSN-MSN, but have 3 classes I’m transferring in. So I’ll have one less term id need to take. Are you in any of the facebook groups? I’m just excited to get started while I have the motivation.

I get to transfer the "3 Ps", so it looks like a calendar year for me. I just joined the general Wilkes PMHNP group. I sent a request to the Summer 2021 group, but as I have not been formally accepted, I likely won't be there for a bit.

I hear ya on starting while you have the motivation. I smooth talked my way into an FNP program pretty much out of ADN school (prior Bachelor's in unrelated discipline). I've been out for 5 years now, and may need to scrape up the requisite motivation for this. :-)  See you around, and good luck!

Is this program BSN-FNP or RN-FNP?  I'm finishing my BSN in the next few weeks. Would like to apply right when I graduate.

I believe they have both. But I’m in the BSN-PMHNP program.

What is the estimation length of this program?  I have been accepted at Spring Arbor University for their FNP program and its about 2.5 years long.

I was also accepted to Spring Arbor. But they don’t assist with placement. Only give you option on what you need to do to if you are running into trouble. The admission advisor said that it is ultimately on me to find preceptors. I’ve read a lot of horror stories. Wilkes told me that the placed 96% of students last semester. So at least it seems they’re trying. I’m afraid of getting through school and having to sit out became I can’t find a preceptor.

Also wilkes clinicals are 6 months, at the end. Spring Arbor is a year or so. Which pushed me to choose Wilkes. I don’t like taking 2 classes at a time. But the preceptor thing sold me.

I agree.... didn't like the two classes at a time either but the preceptor option is hard to beat.  I spoke with -------------------- today at Wilkes and he was absolutely amazing answering all my questions.

Hi there! I plan on applying to Wilkes for the PMHNP program for Fall. The 2 classes a times, scares me too but from what I'm reading it's manageable if you don't fall behind? Any insight on the program, I will be forever grateful!!

I'm starting the PMHNP program this Spring 2018. How's it going for you so far? I was also nervous about this program due to the lack of reviews because it's so new. However, it's cheap and not far from where I live, and seems like the most sensible option. Thanks!

Did you start/complete this program?  If so, would you mind to comment here on your experience?

Hello everyone,

I just spoke with an advisor for the PMHNP program and think I may be taking this route. Is there anyone that can tell how their program is going in 2022? If anyone is applying to the program too, are you interested in forming a study group?
Thanks.

Hello,

I just got my acceptance letter a few minutes ago. 2/22/22 seems to be a great day after all. Is there anyone starting in Summer 2022? Those in the program, what courses did you start off with, what materials help with studying? I appreciate any assistance/directions.

Thanks.

Hi @Tip2datop I just got accepted for Spring of 2023 for RN to MSN track. How is everything going for you so far? I’ve heard a mixed bag of reviews about Wilkes, but trying not to let it deter me. Felt like Wilkes was the best option for me and what I was looking for in a program. Appreciate your input and hope you’re doing well in the program!
