PSY 240 and FON 241 online or in person?

Published

I was wondering if anyone has advice on whether to take PSY 240 and FON 241 online or in person? I would rather not take anything through Rio Salado since I have not had the greatest experiences taking classes with them (to be fair, they were all sciences classes which i just found to be really tough to do online). Has anyone taken either of these classes through any of the Maricopa colleges either online or in person? I would love recommendations :)

I took 240 online at Phoenix college. It was a rather easy course as far as I was concerned. I would recommend it though, and the teacher was pretty knowledgeable. I can't remember her name though, it was a few years back.

I just finished FON241 online through Rio. I knew ahead of time what I was in for because of these message boards (thank GOD and thank you!). The course has 1,000 points. There's a lot of work and a lot of information. I studied for two weeks for the midterm and got a 93. Some of the questions in the course I think were from the previous textbook edition. I asked the instructor to bring up that issue with the course creators, so I hope they fix it. Anyway, my instructor graded pretty easily on the assignments, which apparently has not always been the case with other instructors. The long and short of it is, the class took a lot of work, but I did get an A. It can be done. But I doubt most nutrition classes at other schools are this hard.

FON 241 at MCC online is pretty simple and you will do well if you fill out the study guide for the in person final and do the homework.

I took them both online through RIO a few years ago and they were pretty easy. PSY 240 is as dry as toast w/o butter, but doable! I've also taken the insane science classes through RIO and don't believe that they should offer science classes online. These classes are nothing near that madness! Good Luck!!
