  1. As of last summer, Old Dominion's tuition had gone over the AECP cap and they were unable or unwilling to waive the rest. Maybe they've figured out how to do it, but they didn't seem like they planned to try.
  2. the aecp site is here: https://www.us.army.mil/suite/page/621795 log in to ako before typing in the address.
  3. See you soon!
  4. Hi, all! I wanted to start a thread for Generic BSN program students who are starting Fall 2011 at Wayland Baptist University. I can't wait to meet you all! Please tell me about yourselves. I'm a flute player in the Army but I'm switching to Army nursing. I'm living in Alabama right now but I'm excited to be moving to San Antonio. I've heard great things about the city. Any suggestions for fun things to do?
  5. Well, LOL, I'm sorry to say I won't be meeting you. The Army is moving me around again and now I'll be going to school in Texas! But good luck everybody, and you're welcome to use my thread.
  6. Thanks, Charlihoo! I really appreciate your words of wisdom! Hopefully I'll see you in a year or two.
  7. I was granted early admission to EKU's ABSN program because of extenuating circumstances having to do with the military. I'm so excited!!! I hope to hear from any other applicants, current EKU nursing students, or (in the future) Fall 2011 acceptees. Current students: any words of advice? Applicants: good luck!! :redpinkhe Fall 2011 ABSN students: can't wait to meet you!!
  8. I'm not totally sure, but I remember reading somewhere that they look at your best score.
  9. Yes, got it! Woo and hoo!
  10. I got an Excel document called "Transcript Eval" back in December. Is that what you all are talking about?
  11. Well, I definitely see your point, but my supervisor disagrees and still wants some 2LT job titles.
  12. just got the following informational email, which i'm sure you will all get, too: thank you for applying to the university of texas health science center san antonio's school of nursing. we have received your application and are in the process of reviewing admission files. this process should be complete within the next few days. once this process is complete we will be sending out teas test invites to those applicants who qualify for the next round of admissions. here is our admissions timeframe... - monday, february 7th...send out teas invites via e-mail o the teas test will be available to take between the dates of february 15th-march 18th. - friday, march 18th...teas test deadline - friday, march 25th...send out offers of admission for the fa11 semester if you do not receive an e-mail inviting you to take the teas test this means your application for admission is ineligible for review. if that is the case, an e-mail will be sent to you, from the hsc's application center, explaining why your application is ineligible for admissions review. study guides for the teas version v (5) exam can be found at www.atitesting.com.
  13. I'm an enlisted person in the Army, but I'm about to start the AECP and become an Army nurse. My supervisor is working on my NCOER, and in the block where it says what positions you should be considered for, he wants to put my possible positions as a 2LT nurse. So my question is, what are some position titles that a 2LT nurse might have? Corresponding enlisted job titles might be Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Musical Support Team Leader (I'm in the band), Supply Sergeant, etc. THANKS in advance!
  14. Not yet!
  15. Wow, thanks for the heads up on the hospitals and the parking. I'm so glad I found this site!!
