Providence TIPS Residency April 2023

Updated:   Published

Hi! I wanted to create this thread for those who will be applying to Providence TIPS for their April/May 2023 cohort. Does anyone know the exact dates as to when the application will open and close?

What location are you guys talking about? Because Holy Cross Mission Hills base is $45.01 plus differential

All the Providence hospitals are 12 hours straight pay. They do not pay overtime after 8 hours.

unfortunately no. my friend who started in the TIP program 2 years ago is still getting straight pay ?

Do you know if it's true that there is a pay increase after the first year?

yes it's true. I think I remember my friend telling me it's around $10.

The $36 plus differential is referring to St Joes and St Judes

I do hear many nurses do stay because it's a great place to work at, even with their current pay. Sometimes things aren't perfect but things do come close. ☺️ it would lead me to believe to get OT one must work a 4th shift

Yes correct since a 3 day work week equals only 36 hours.

I don't know where this info is coming from, I just got hired at St Joes and the base pay is $50 plus differential. Are you referring to St Joes Burbank? That's the one I got hired at.

I think it's important to consider if this is fellowship pay or residency pay, and location matters too. I can see where people might be feeling confused in many ways, as many factors determines pay, not necessarily location on its own

I'm referring to Orange! I didn't realize there were multiple St Joes

That's the pay for a new grad but disregard because they were referring to St Joe's in Orange!
