Hi! I wanted to create this thread for those who will be applying to Providence TIPS for their April/May 2023 cohort. Does anyone know the exact dates as to when the application will open and close?

Has anyone received an email that the program is interested in extending an offer but hasn't received a call for the official offer?

I received an email about an offer on 4/7 for Torrance but haven't received a call yet. I emailed the recruiter Friday and she just replied saying she was no longer the recruiter for the TIP program ?

Hi everyone!
I got offers from multiple Providences but I truly don't feel happy with any of them.
Do you guys think it's okay to deny and try again for the next cohort or would that look very bad? LOL

I interviewed w/ LCOM Torrance, St. Jude, and St. Jo Orange. All my interviews were done with at least 3 nursing leaders. The interview for St. Jo Orange was a bit different though. They had us choose our top two units. The first unit I interviewed for was with 3 unit managers. For my second choice, I interviewed in a room with 8 different unit managers. The second interview was more relaxed, like a get-to-know-you vibe. Some questions they asked were:
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Some questions they asked were: "Tell us about yourself.” "Why nursing/this unit?” "Strengths/weakness?" "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” "Tell us about a time you were culturally sensitive?” "Time you went above and beyond for a patient.” "Why is teamwork important?” "What values you will bring as a team?” "Tell me about a time when you did your best to resolve a customer or client concern and the individual was still unsatisfied. What did you do next?” "Why are you applying for a TIP position?” (Read over their mission statement, vision, and values.) Be prepared to organize 4 tasks in the order of urgency and give your rationale. Expect at least one case study e.g. pt w/ hypoglycemia/HF/sepsis. You'll have to break it down and do a verbal SBAR, and what inhterventions/implementations you'd expect for that pt. Hope this helps! Good luck!
thank you so much this was so helpful! this is what I assued would happen but on the website with the interview information it said that we will be doing a group interview with other candidiates so I was a little confused. I applied to Mission Hills and Tarzana if anyone has any insight into these locations I would greatly appreciate it.
