Providence TIPS April 2021

Published

Hello!

This will be the thread for all those applying to Providence SOCAL April 2021!

I submitted my application today. This is my second time applying. I applied for the September (didn't have my RN lic at the time) cohort but didn't get selected for an in person interview. Last time I was requested to do a video interview. This time I received a self paced text only interview.

Best of luck to everyone ?

Does anyone know if we will receive a rejection email? Or do we just never hear from them again? Interviewed 5 weeks ago and have heard nothing/no updates on my application.

The first time I applied (for the Jan start) I didn’t get an interview but there was no updates to my portal and I never received a rejection. My portal updated to not considered the day before the application for the April program opened.

I know that’s not helpful, but depending on the hospital they might also be waiting until all the decisions come in? IDK I’m really sorry though that is frustrating. Have you tried reaching out to the recruiter?

I applied to a few other new grad programs that didn't send me a rejection letter either. It's a little frustrating but I know they interviewed a few people this week. My advice is don't lose hope but also keep boosting that resume and apply, apply, apply.

Did you guys complete a new hire ekg and med exam?

Hi has anyone gone through the hiring process/ started yet?

From what I've heard it is for sure a 2-year commitment after residency. I know from different Prov locations depending on the unit you sign to if you break the contract you have to pay back a large amount. I've heard it can range anywhere from $300 to $900 a month for the duration of the contract left. It's the same with their tuition reimbursement.

Hey what rules are required to get tuition reimbursement? Like do you have to work a year for them? Are you allowed to leave after you graduate or do they make you stay a certain amount of time?

Hi everyone. For those who were offered positions, how long after your interview did it take to hear back from them? I am interviewing this week for the September cohort and was curious. Thanks!
