Providence TIPS April 2021

Published

Hello!

This will be the thread for all those applying to Providence SOCAL April 2021!

I submitted my application today. This is my second time applying. I applied for the September (didn't have my RN lic at the time) cohort but didn't get selected for an in person interview. Last time I was requested to do a video interview. This time I received a self paced text only interview.

Best of luck to everyone ?

hello! I just saw my portal update today to RN I and to a specific unit for st. joseph (orange). I haven't received an official call or email yet but I'm hopeful!

Congrats! You will get a call soon  same happened with me, my portal updated about two weeks after, when all interviews were complete???

Anyone here interview with Little Company of Mary San Pedro?

Specializes in Labor & Delivery.

Has anyone heard back from St. John's in Santa Monica for any unit besides float pool or ICU?

I interviewed for LCOM Torrance this morning, I feel really good about it! I think it went well and I’m excited. For those who got offers/portal changes how long did it take for your portal to change to RN I after your interview? It seems most everyone saw the portal update before they got the call.

I interviewed at LCM Torrance as well! I feel as though the interview went very well. Questions ran smoothly and the interview panel seem to be very receptive and understanding of what I was conveying. The case study was a bit intimidating at first but I think it went pretty smoothly and felt similar to the cases we did for virtual clinical.

Does anyone know the timeline or have an approximate of when we usually hear back?

Hi guys! I felt like my interview ran very smoothly Tuesday as well. Then Thursday morning my application was "withdrawn", I freaked out for a second and then realized a new application was opened for "RN residency - with my unit" ? Did you guys get a call today? It didn't look like they interviewed a lot of people, so I'm not sure how many people they accepted?

Congrats to everyone who got job offers and those that didn't just know that your time will come. Don't lose hope. I think it's easy to compare yourself to others, but everyones journey is different. There's also a TON of COVID jobs right now that pay almost double what these new grad programs offer. So there's lots of options until you get accepted into a program.

Hello,

I think my application updated as well. Can I ask if your app updated to a unit you specified?

Mine said float pool but I didn't interview for that (they asked specifically) so Im not sure why it says float pool unless thats what they are considering me for.

Mine does say float pool too!! But I also didn’t put it down as my top 3 options.  I’m hoping it’s a filler name before they make us a call offer!

I emailed my recruiter this morning and she said to be on the lookout for a call offer today or the next couple of days! ?

@WesternNurse @rxrocky

Even before they called me with the news mine said ED. So I’m not sure what float means. What units did you preference?

It means a your going to float to all the units, your not assigned to a specific one. No matter what the good news is you got in! ?
