Providence TIP September 2022

Published

Hi all! I applied yesterday to the Providence TIP for SoCal (specifically at Holy Cross) and immediately got a text interview request. The text interview was clarifying that I'll be able to take the NCLEX in time, what units I want to work for, etc. Right after I submitted that I got an interview request!

I heard from someone that has a family member currently in the new grad program at St. Joseph, and said they pay her $37/hour. I don’t know what they will offer this cohort.

Eek. So low.

I know ?I’m always concerned when places don’t openly state pay.

I heard hospitals in LA pay a bit more than the OC hospitals

The range is very wide in my opinion. UC Irvine and UCLA pay $50/hour, but I try to keep in mind we have room to make a lot more once we complete our first year.

No call for me yet ? maybe it depends on the unit.

agreed! I know the program for TIPs is really good so I don’t really mind the pay because the experience will be good

Exactly, getting into a program with the best opportunity for learning your specialty should be the most important goal.

Did you get yours?

Just wanted to remind everyone you get a 10$ raise after your first year

I just checked my portal out of curiosity and it said I'm still on the "interview-scheduled" step. Anyone else have something different?
