Starting this thread before the Jan '22 cohort application opens up today (hopefully soon!) I have all the required documents ready to submit, patiently refreshing and hoping the link to apply pops up soon. Let's all connect and keep each other updated on our application process. Maybe 10 pages back in this thread, I remember a post from a nurse that got hired in one of the OC hospitals and they would not negotiate. I got the email from LCOM saying they're drafting an offer letter, but no official call yet. I'll definitely let you know what rate they offer, I'm curious if my 8 months of experience means anything in terms of pay.

just curious, is your 8 month experience in an acute setting?

Yes, I currently work on a med-surg tele floor.

Yes, please do! Thank you so much. That way, we all will have an idea of the expected pay range for new grads in our area.

I was offered the same. I don’t think it’s negotiable considering it’s a set pay for new grads. I know Providence pay rate varies by locations for new grads, ranges from $36 (OC) to $45 (LA area).

mine is 39.78 plus a $4 diff, after re-negotiating but I have not opened and read and accepted--I have till next Friday. I'm better off at Cedars, especially with the 5k edu reimbursement per year vs 4k at Providence.

I'm awaiting my Santa Monica offer but I think it will be just as dismal as OC. 

For those who got "float pool" congrats but that is basically being under the sword of damocles for an entire year at CNA/PCT pay. Float pool is great though, you'll get ten years of work in 1! Experience, right??? LOL

For LCOM Torrance, is anyone else still waiting to hear back after portal changing?

My portal was updated with my unit on 11/23, and I just got a call earlier today with no email beforehand!! The wait was agonizing, but if you have a portal change, it's highly likely that they'll be contacting you soon ? I'm sure they have a lot of people to go through haha
