Nurses Job Hunt

Updated:   Published

I just wanted to create a forum for those applying to Providence TIP RN Residency  program for new grads applying to the 2024cohort. I know the application opens soon, so I wanted to create this forum so we can discuss the application process, interviews, and more!! ☺️

Hi everyone!

I just applied to 2 hospitals and got sent an invite for an interview right away after I finished the screening survey. However, it said no times available. Did this happen to anyone else? I emailed the recruiter already but I am not sure if that means that theres no spots left to even interview even tho it says the app will be open until January 8. I would've applied faster if I knew it was first come, first serve not used to automatically getting an interview link lmao

same thing happened to me ? I applied to st joseph around 4 yesterday and got a texting screening immediately after and then around 15 after I got an email saying to pick a time slot for my in person interview. I called the nursing unit and they told me to call HR because they need to add more time slots??? im not sure but im planning on calling them today so I'll update yall!

I did see this on the website, but maybe they will open more spots...

"The application for the February 2024 TIP program opens Nov 8th, 2023 for Fellows and Dec 18th, 2023 for Residents. Please apply quickly, as the interview slots typically fill within a few days."

Has anyone applied and not gotten an interview email (not the text one)?

Everyone is posting that they recieved interview times and I'm getting nervous because I haven't gotten one... Which I do not get because I applied early and meet all the requirements so I would think I would get at least an interview? I am having such bad anxiety that I have to run to the bathroom LOL!!

I think it depends on the location! I got the interview invitations right away from some but havent gotten the invitation from another place LOL I applied to all of them yesterday too

Which location did you apply for ? I really think it depends on the location I know some got full right away but I think they might be openning more time slots for the interview

I applied for St. Jude and Little Company of Mary in Torrance. Hopefully they do!

Does anyone know if they're doing group interviews?? I know of people who got the same day and time slots

oh OK. I applied to different locations so maybe those were already full. I clicked on the link they sent and  they had several times available. I hope it works out for you, try reaching out to HR, there are many applicants and only  1 day of interview I am sure they will open up more days.

Did anyone attempt to schedule and interview for Orange location and said no slots. Once I emailed the HR person said they're on vacation and will return 12/26 LOL

Just applied to two locations for Providence. Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a position at Providence as a new graduate if you don't get into their residency program?

It says on the website only through the residency. Most bigger hospitals are like this. They won't really consider anyone otherwise unless you have a year or close to it.
