Did anybody apply to the position for BSN new grads for the Providence hospitals job fair for the epic implementation technician?
Hi Everyone, I was just wondering for you all that received interviews at the job fair, was this for the EPIC position or for the NG positions. My interview for Providence is next week for the NG and wondering if you all heard anything on how many they are taking or what type of quesitons they ask... I would appreciate any help. Thank you!! :)

Wow! First of all, congrats on getting an interview for the NG program. If you don't mind me asking, which hospital are you being interviewed at? And are you an internal? The job offers that we are referring to are the 'Epic Implementation Technician' positions.
Will you be staying on as a full time RN then? Are you on a Unit you like and where you spent your NG program? And not that it is the most important issue, but it does matter... is compensation at Providence pretty comparable to other hospitals? Sorry to ask 20-20, but such an opportunity to ask questions! One more, lol, how many were in your cohort??
I have been full time since my March hire date and love it. I was trained on several units under a preceptor for several months and was then returned to my home unit. Finally did my first solo shift on June 28. There were 12 in my cohort and we spent anywhere from usually 8-16 hrs a week of classes in addition to shifts with a preceptor You could not exceed 40 hrs in a week so the number of shifts depended upon your scheduled classes for any given week. The pay at my hospital is very good plus I get the night shift differential. We are union so our pay rate apparently is a bit higher than our neighboring Providence facility. Providence has nice benefits too :)
Hi, thanks... I am not internal and Mission Hills. I was wondering about the job fair because I did not know if it was just for Epic or for the other positions. They have had a lot of job postings recently and was just curious. :) Wishing everyone good luck!!
Lici RN, 1st CONGRATS!! I am super excited for you and wish you all the luck in the world on your upcoming interview. Would you mind telling me a little more about how your interview call(s) went? I got a prelim call from the PHMC recruiter on Tue 8/20 and she asked about my unit preferences. At the end of the call she said they would call back in the next few days if they wanted to invite me for an in person interview. Did you get a prelim call and a second call? Did you get an interview on the first call? I would love to set my mind at ease and discover that if I didn't get a call back in 24 hours, not a good sign OR maybe they take more time to make that second call? I look forward to hearing your story!
