    NCLEX RN 2019

Congratulations!... Loved you keeping everyone up to date with your process. I just finished an LPN program and now I will be starting to study for my nclex. God bless you for going all the way. I will see. I am 50 years old. Went back to school obviously later in life. Trying to prove something to myself I guess and show my children that education is so important. Well, enough about that.... So happy for you!!!! I was crying when you got emotional. That is awesome...!!!! Wish you the best.

NCLEX RN License In NY or NJ?

Oh, in your paycheck, taxes would be taken out because I live in New York but then taxes will also be taken out because employment would be in New Jersey.

    LPN License question?

Hello all. I just passed my last final for the program! Next is taking the Nclex. I live in New York and I know it is not a compact state. I eventually plan on moving to Florida which is a compact state. I also took my program in New Jersey. I was going to apply for NY license and then when time gets closer I would get it endorsed in Florida. Is New Jersey a compact state? From what I read it looks like it's pending. Classmates are telling me it's easier to get NJ over NY. I have no idea why? Does anyone have any insight on this? Any recommendations on what you think I should do. Thank you.

    Question about Lpn/Rn license

Hello all. I have a question pertaining to a license. When you sit for the Nclex, can you apply to receive a license in more than one state? I know they have the Compact license but what if one or both of the states in not part of that? I know there is endorsement. I am just curious if you can just apply to have a license in different states. Thank you.

LPN - can they be a dialysis nurse??

Thank you rhyde -- I'm still in school finishing the program. I am in my 40's so I don't know if I would continue to RN. I see what my neighbor went through. Young person and had to get a kidney transplant.... So I was curious that maybe I would want to lean that way. All that you said you have done I am actually interested in. Thank you. Tanya

    LPN license question...

Oh one other thing, Can you apply for license directly to another state? Like I live in New York but we plan on moving to Florida... would I be able to get my license there if I'm not actually a resident? Or do I have to automatically apply for New York and then get endorsed.... I figure it would take a lot longer

    LPN license question...

AmoLucia --- Yes, I understand you take the NCLEX-PN one time. Our teacher was saying if you know you are going to move and not stay in state that you can opt to choose that state. If I don't live in that state then I would think not... so some of us were getting confused on what she was telling us. I also was looking up the requirements for Florida and it stated you can have your license endorsed after working 2 years in the state I think where you received your license. We are looking to move to Florida so that is why I'm thinking I should try and get my license there but if I don't live there I guess I can't. Then my other problem would be if I have to wait 2 years to have my license endorsed for Florida.... Ugh... Can you or anyone clarify how this works?

    LPN license question...

Hello. Not sure if this would be the proper place for this. If not, I apologize in advance. I'm trying to gather all the information I need. I am in an LPN program. The school I attend is in NJ. I live in NY so I guess when the time come to sit for the boards I would apply for NY. That part I get. After I graduate, my boyfriend and I are planning to move to Florida but he wanted to work a few months here and get experience. I was looking on Florida requirements and it looks like you have to have 2 years experience before you can transfer or endorse you license... So my question is what should I do? What do you suggest? When the time comes for the boards, can I apply to both states? Do I just apply to Florida? Can I even do that since I do not live in that state yet? I see Florida is part of the compact but New York is not.... Any suggestions would be great. Thank you so much

  12. Hello all. Just curious. Can an LPN be a dialysis nurse or do you have to be an RN? Thank you.

    Help with math!

I want to thank everyone for their help. I printed out some of the stuff you posted and I will probably have to teach myself. I guess I shouldn't say that dimensional analysis is confusing. I never really sat to learn it. Someone asked if we can use any method we want -- yes, the teacher doesn't care which one you use, though she has only showed us formula method because that is how she does it. We do not have an actual dosage calculations class. She is combining showing us how to calculate in our pharmacology class. I do have a dosage calculations book that my boyfriends daughter gave me. I will have to pull that out and I guess teach myself which way works best. I appreciate everyone's efforts on trying to help me with this. Thank you so much!

    Help with math!

Thank you everyone. Hopefully we will be going over these in class this week. Our teacher just took over the class and she seems a lil all over the place but hopefully things will work out.
