LPN License Renewal

Hello all.  I know most states require CEUs for renewal of your license. I have a while before I renew but I wanted to know if I received the correct information. A few ppl have told me for your First renewal of your license that CEUs are not required. Is this true? I have reached out to the NY board of nursing a while ago and haven’t received a message back yet so I figured I would see if anyone here has any info.
