  3. So I was going through a lot of personal matters during my BSN, irresponsibly I pushed to get my BSN in hopes to get a better job. I ended up getting amuch better job . However I was wondering if it's possible for me to pursue a bachelors degree with another major other than nursing such as health sciences for example and then apply to an MSN or a midwife program with that GPA instead ? Or would it be better to redo nursing classes at the school where I did my BSN? My BSN GPA was very poor. I mean I passed but it's not good enough to go to graduate school . Any input is appreciated .

    Lenox Hill Hirinh process

Wow thanks for this. I'm hearing great reviews so far ... most people have said that they are happy. Though yes I agree the pay is not competitive compared to other hospitals such as NYU. But I have yet to hear such great reviews as many as I've heard from Lenox. How long was your onboarding process? They rushed me to start meanwhile the background check is taking forever!!!!!

    Lenox Hill Hirinh process

Absolutely .. but an inside review would help. Often times everything sounds great on the outside and then you get in and it's a whole other ballgame :-)

    Lenox Hill Hirinh process

Hi there does anyone work at Lenox Hill ? I know it's union .. what are your benefits like ? The recruiter only spoke to me regarding salary but nothing else . However she was saying I need to finalise my decision by Friday! I just want a heads up before I feel pressed to make a decision on the spot. what was your starting salary ? And what's your average OT? Are holidays counted as OT? 5 day or 4 day shifts ? Benefits? Holidays?

What's a good pay for clinic nurses in NYC?

Just curious and trying to survey... For nurses who work in private practice clinics how much do you make and what benefits do you get? Especially those in NYC. Or if you're not where are you located?

Binded with a contract and trying to see the positive side of it.

Yes you do have a point job hopping is so frustrating! And the $10000 they will take everything from me... and I didn't think of it that way sour lemon.. Thank you for that perspective & yes maybe that's a possible route as well moving is definitely a goal for me . Move away from NYC! But I didn't know that they would take new grads with no experience! I didn't even think that was possible anymore . Are you located in Texas?

Prime staffing agency NYC for RN

So the way it works is they send twenty RNs there to do the new grad program in which we are technically working for prime staffing agency (our payroll is paid by them) in the hospital at a rate of $15/hr. THEN after that we continue to work for them for 9 months at new grad rate (not sure how much) and after that get hired by the hospital permanently at their rate

Prime staffing agency NYC for RN

Has anyone ever worked for this agency? They were saying they had a new hospital new grad program that they are launching.. Im currently binded to a contract but willing to negotiate the terms or even take on the hefty $10000 penalty for it if I get the position . However I want to get some feedback from fellow nurses who possibly have had experiences with them how are they?

Binded with a contract and trying to see the positive side of it.

Im wondering if there's a possibility for private clinic nurses to move into the hospital. Worried that it gets harder and harder every year
  13. Hi nurses, so I regrettably signed a contract that is binding me to a one year employment with a plastic surgery office as an OR RN nurse .thinking that I had thirty days to back out of it. Unfortunately it turned out that the contractual period started on the first day of employment. Meaning if I leave now I will be penalized $10,000. Then 7 days later I received a call from an agency (Prime staffing agency in NYC) that they were starting w pilot program for nurses with no hospital experience..it starts at $15/hr but it is possible to get into L&D directly with a reputable facility - Jersey city medical center. after three months you will make new grad rates for nine months then go up another bump afterward. L&D has always been something I wanted to do . And now I'm losing it because I feel like I did something so stupid and careless by signing the contract. I had no idea that it was even possible for me to get an offer like this one because I don't have the best GPA nor do i have any acute experience. i want to try to renegotiate the contract to working per diem perhaps but im honestly worried that I will end up with nothing. What would you do if you were in my situation?
