Hi there does anyone work at Lenox Hill ? I know it's union .. what are your benefits like ? The recruiter only spoke to me regarding salary but nothing else . However she was saying I need to finalise my decision by Friday!

I just want a heads up before I feel pressed to make a decision on the spot.

what was your starting salary ? And what's your average OT? Are holidays counted as OT? 5 day or 4 day shifts ? Benefits? Holidays?

These sound like questions you should be asking of someone in the know, such as the recruiter or HR.

Absolutely .. but an inside review would help. Often times everything sounds great on the outside and then you get in and it's a whole other ballgame :-)

I work per diem at Lenox Hill. I love it. They have their own union, it's called NYPNU and anyone can look up the contract online. Give it a look and see what you think. I do like the union, they are really involved and fiercely yet fairly advocate for us. Unfortunately though, the pay and benefits are not too competitive relative to other NYC private hospitals, and new hires do not get a pension. I have seen some turnover for better pay/benefits, but it is a great place to work!

Wow thanks for this. I'm hearing great reviews so far ... most people have said that they are happy. Though yes I agree the pay is not competitive compared to other hospitals such as NYU. But I have yet to hear such great reviews as many as I've heard from Lenox.

How long was your onboarding process? They rushed me to start meanwhile the background check is taking forever!!!!!
