Hep C needle SQ Stick :(
Heyy not really looking for medical advice, I'm already aware of protocols for procedures where I am at. Sorry I typed this so quickly, I did not recap the needles I meant using the safety device in place I was almost 100 % I covered both needles but somehow one was not and managed to lightly poke my pinky. Honestly didn't even consider it a needle stick since I barely felt it but then noticed a little tiny spot of blood. I guess I was just looking for similar situations from other people. I mean the incidence is so low but still scary. We don't even have that many hep c + patients like what are the odds -_-

Hep C needle SQ Stick :(
Helping out a nurse pass her meds cause she was busy. Had to pass a short acting and long acting insulin, subq in the arm. No blood that I recall, I mean it was Subq. Feel horrible that while capping both needles I managed to prick my pinky. Never had a needle stick before and I noticed a small drop of bleeding from my pinky. Washed it out with soap and water. I did all the researching even looked at previous forums on the site. I know its low but cant shake the feeling. Yes patient is hep C + :(.

Bad pop up :(, PVT still works right?
Hey really sorry to hear that . Unfortunately its pretty accurate. I wish you the best of luck because on very very rare occasions its wrong. But if in the case you didn't make it through, don't you stress yourself! It definitely sucks but you're not alone! I felt poopy but jumped right back into it basically ONLY using Uworld ( I did 75 questions a day for the month ). 265 means you were very close. I was out of the testing center in like 50 minutes with only 75 questions on the second attempt.

Second Nclex Attempt

Second Nclex Attempt
Still waiting on the results to come in the mail. We don't have the quick results here in Ontario. I'm super anxious.

Second Nclex Attempt
..................I got the good pop up. I'm freakn out

NCLEX MASTERY APP
I used it for my first NCLEX attempt. Its okay, especially since your phone is always on you and you have the free time. Put a little too much faith in it though thinking it would be enough to pass. Did all questions and finished with a 60%.
-
Second Nclex Attempt
Too scared to try it to be honest lol. The select all that apply questions were very difficult. I thought after using Uworld I'd be able to take on any SATA but these were like purposely difficult. Towards the end they started getting a little easier

Second Nclex Attempt
This time around I got 75 questions. My first attempt I went the whole way (265). I really do not know what to feel. I used Uworld this time. Finished with a 68% average and thought I could take on anything. But man. I got around 15 SATA, no calculations, and very very difficult questions. I mean, so difficult that I was excited to see priority or SATA questions. I'm not even sure why I'm posting lol. Just want to thank the forums for keeping my head straight and giving me something to do during study breaks these past few difficult months. I really really really hope I did not fail or else I'm moving to the ocean to live with the water people. Note: Nclex asked me FOUR times about a diet concerning chronic kidney failure. I forgot that a low protein diet is included in the teachings. Why would they be so cruel to punish me if I didn't get it the first time?

Help failed first attempt nclex
How many Uworld questions did you do? After my first failed attempt Uworld is all I've really been doing. I'm almost done the bank, got one week before the second attempt.

Successful NCLEX 2nd time with UWORLD
Thats really awesome to hear! And congratulations :). So envious I also didn't pass my first time (265 questions, 4 hours, getting the same questions over and over). And now I'm using Uworld and sometimes the Nclex Mastery App. I currently have a 68% average on Uworld with about 450 questions left. But for the life of me I cannot stop worrying haha. I feel like I'm forgetting information and just cant study anymore. I'm doing 75 a day but I started so early and feel like I'm just not retaining anymore information. Brain fried.

Removing PPE Question!
Thats not what Uworld says though. That was what I originally stated. Uworld says gloves, goggles or face shield, gown, mask or respirator, and hand hygiene.
-
Removing PPE Question!
Thanks guys!! Yea thats what Uworld follows as well. THANKS NURSING SCHOOL

Removing PPE Question!
Hey everyone! I was taught in nursing school how to remove PPEs. I even have a little card attached to my nursing badge to remind me of the process of removing PPEs. It has always been:: -Remove gloves, Remove Gown, Perform Hand Hygiene, Remove Eye Protection, Remove Mask or N95 Respirator, Perform Hand Hygiene. This always made sense to me too. However, Uworld is saying gloves, goggles or face shield, gown, mask or respirator, and hand hygiene. Like.... how you gonna touch your face without at least washing your hands first. Someone help me

PVT false fails
Hey friends, I'll just post my experience. Like you guys, I got the bad pop up. I tried a few days after my exam and used a false expire date (TRUST me when I say you can do this to check). Even tried using the same process with friends that passed and they got a good pop up. Even used the real date. The bad pop is very accurate. Most people that claim they got the bad pop up and passed usually do it wrong. I failed and am currently studying now using Uworld. Getting it the first time is awesome. But aint no way were giving up now, right? Good luck everybody, much much love. This exam can be brutal

Nclex in 2 weeks... feeling defeated:(
If you don't mind me asking, Wheat, did you feel that Uworld didn't help with the Nclex? I'm retaking using it as my only source and I really do not want to fail again . I heard its one of the best sources out there

Nclex in 2 weeks... feeling defeated:(
I am in the same boat regarding uworld. My story is that I failed my first attempt (I only used the mastery app and saunders questions) and started studying immediately on Uworld. My average is 68 but ONLY cause I was using it last month on a shared uworld account too for a little bit so I am getting some re run questions. I feel absolutely defeated studying for this nclex. Doing question after question all summer has me feeling like taking off all my clothes and running down the street. Like you I sometimes get a whole bunch wrong and feel discouraged but trust me when I say its just Uworlds way of preparing you. Read those rationales very carefully and know that its really helpful. Soon enough youll start picking up. I've read many different forums of people with low averages, even to the 40s, and still passing. I'm doing 75 a day (started around the 17th last month) and its mentally draining, takes me about 5 hours to do. Wish I could give advice on how this will fair out but my exams not till August 2nd. Good luck to both of us :)

Advice on study prep
Hey guys, about to take my exam for the second time now (sigh). I used Nclex Mastery app (finished with 60%) and Saunders online 5200 questions thing with evolve (did about 2000 and they are WAY too easy) I'm using uworld this time and doing 75 questions a day. My friend passed his exam and is willing to pass on his Kaplan account to me. I cannot, for the life of me, do any more than 75 a day on Uworld. I wake up and do them and it takes me the entire day (maybe its just how I study, or maybe I'm mentally exhausted). My exams not till August 2nd. The thought alone doing 75/day is already dreadful. -Do I need to suck it up and do more? Maybe I need encouragement. I REALLY am so tired of studying.

Bad pop up :(, PVT still works right?
Just a update, I did fail lol. Near passing on all categories with one above. Pearson Vue trick for life!

Bad pop up :(, PVT still works right?
Yea. A friend of mine came over after he just wrote his exam (24 hours ago). Used my card with an invalid expiration date and he got the good pop up lol. For all those wondering, the PVT trick is alive and well. Congrats to all that have passed, and good luck to all of us taking it again

Bad pop up :(, PVT still works right?
AT FIRST I used an inaccurate expiration date. Said to enter a valid one. Ignored it and tried it again with the inaccurate expiration date lol. Then it processed and said credit card declined. EVERY time after that I tried I entered the appropriate credit card information and still got credit card declined. Odd thing is when I contacted my bank just to see what it looked like on their side, the nice lady mentioned that the bank has been declining my credit card the entire time due to expiration date and that the card has not been charged at all. HOWEVER, this has not given me hope at all considering the trick should prevent me from attempting to use the card at all, regardless if the charge went through. This is why I think using an invalid expiration date actually may still work. Either way its not looking good lol Results come in a few days in the mail. No other way to check it here in Ontario Canada, as the CNO (college of nurses of ontario) don't post it up right away.

Bad pop up :(, PVT still works right?
Awehh Thanks Dana, at least we're not alone. Your situation is exactly the same as mine lol. Over 4 hours, 265 questions. After these few days that have passed I kind of just came to terms with it. Already started studying. We're getting it next time for sure!

HELP!!! I am pretty sure I failed the NCLEX!
Haaaaaaay me and you both sister! BAD POP UPS FOR LIFE! Who needs a good pop up anyway?! Its overrated.

Person Vue Trick-It was wrong for me. June 2016
I really appreciate the encouragement Brit :). But I've kind of already accepted the fact. I live in Ontario, Canada and we do not have the quick results. Its the only reason I tried the PVT trick once I figured out the quick results were not available for our province, so I DID wait 48 hours with all that anxiety. As for Cocoa's post, I really appreciate (even though we all come off as very desperate and repetitive) posting that little update but the trick is pretty accurate when you do it right. IF I'm wrong I obviously will agree with you and take my clothes off and gyrate. Only time will tell. Actually, I'm going to go check my mail box right now. Good luck everyone :)
