  1. This is ridiculous. It’s your day off so why would you worry what others might think. Your working hours are out of this world. Are you new in this role? Is lack of experience your reason for working those long hours? So many questions need to be ans...
  2. Anyone get anxiety prior to their shift?

Hi, You should know you’re not alone as a new grad. I experienced the same thing as a new grad. I would get to work an entire hour before start time due to being nervous and anxious. The seasoned nurses would make fun of me but I didn’t care. G...
  3. Spouse of nurse

I’m surprised about that being an issue now that you’re making more money than your spouse. It shouldn’t be MY money and HIS money. Combine the income and work with that and if needed, you both could look into getting some hours elsewhere. My spouse ...
  4. What else can I do with my BSN

There are so many things you can do with your BSN. I did only 2yrs at the bedside and now I’m a Community Based Care Manager and I LOVE it. Great great pay (triple my bedside pay), plus WAH opportunity with autonomy at its best. If you are interested...
  5. Nursing is not what it is made out to be..

  7. "Mature" graduates finding employment

Can't believe your mother could say that. That's shallow minded if anything she should be congratulating older people for going back to school. No one can take another persons' job. If they like you and God wants you there it will be yours. I graduat...

  13. Why do RN's avoid LTC positions?

Thank you! I worked in pediatric oncology for 5 months and resigned. Now I'm considering LTC care. I love the geriatric population and interviewing today for RN supervisor position. Thanks for this post it makes me feel a lot better.
  14. Should I stay or should I go?

If it's too much for you, just quit and get your degree because in the long run it will pay off. I worked as a CMA for 5 years and had to resign to finish school. The same company rehired me. My first RN job. If they think you're a good worker they'...

  18. 75 Q's Today... Feel Crushed.

I just took the nclex with 75 questions and my stomach is still on the floor that's how low it fell after the shutoff. I'm looking back at the ones I know I got wrong. I'm so nervous.

I graduated this May too and was telling some friends that very same thing. I'm having a hard time sitting down to study daily. I think we are just stressed mentality after nursing school so take it easy with your body and mind. Good advise from dedi...
