I use the NCLEX RN Mastery, and RN Mentor (free). I think the rationales for NCLEX Mastery are okay - the ones for RN Mentor are better. I plan to get UWorld in my last semester because of the price.

Not until orientation - you'll have a peer mentor that will help you figure out which books you need and which ones you don't. I only purchased one book.

Pro-life is such a misnomer, I find. OP, at this point, I'd focus your energy on getting back into school to complete your prerequisites before spending any more time worrying about abortions that don't have anything to do with you or your beliefs.
I'm in my fifth semester of a BSN program and even though I'm only three weeks into the actual nursing program, I'm having so much fun! I love my clinical instructor, and my classes are interesting and my classmates (especially my clinical group) are...

That's great! Congratulations! I finished up my first semester last week. My suggestion would be to really stay on top of things. We didn't have much in the way of homework or busy work - lots of time to review the material over and over. What clas...
It's really hard to say. I had a difficult time because of the way the information was presented. It depends on your teacher, how they test and how they approach the subject.

I think they are redoing the knowledge center to make it more user friendly based on feedback from previous semesters. And they don't take long to complete.

This really depends on what type of student you are. I've never really had to study before, then nursing school came. My first round of tests I did really well on - with no studying. So I got cocky. The second round wasn't as kind to me and really ga...

What states are you looking at? Is your end goal to get a BSN? A 3.0 GPA is a tough sell honestly, even though that's a perfectly good GPA, there are so many people with just above perfectly good GPA's, if that makes sense. I'm in Texas and had a 3...

I'm not speaking for anyone but myself. Unlike you, who is hell bent on making gross generalizations about a topic you've proven to know very little about. You can't make broad, ignorant statements about people and not expect some push-back. Unless ...

Do you think that this is, perhaps, related to people like me being more open about how they feel, lifting the stigma a bit and allowing people to get the help they've always needed? And now people have access to more affordable health care? This ...

I mean this as gently as possible. You've been on here for years now asking about becoming a nurse. The truth is that there's no easy way or shortcut. You either need to retake classes and make yourself a more competitive applicant, move to a state ...

First, they aren't called "happy pills" - that's insulting to those of us that need them. They don't make me happy, they enable me to function and not toy with the idea of suicide. Second, I'm not addicted to my medications. Again, I need them to fu...

Sorry for taking so long! It's finals over here. I can join your Facebook group to answer questions if you need them to be answered more quickly. You'll be getting an invitation to a family engagement breakfast for some time in June. This is your ge...
