  1. Hello everyone! I'm really considering atttending the ACE program this fall, but am super hesitant due to all of the negative things I've seen from current/past students. Do any other students on this thread have any input? Any advice would be very appreciated!
  2. Nevermind, I found it! I was pretty positive that I wanted to attend George Washington's accelerated program, but I'm starting to really think more about Drexel (with my decision deadline quickly approaching). I've been doing a ton of research and seem to find more complaints about the program than good things.... Has anyone talked to current/previous ACE students, or heard any other information about the program? I'm just a bit concerned about the apparent intensity. Any advice would be appreciated!
  3. I may have missed it, but is there a Facebook group for accepted students?
  4. I'll be there! Also, if anyone is new, we do have a Facebook group going. Just search "George Washington ABSN Fall 2016" and it should come up!
  5. I heard back within a month and a half/two months. But once you get an email saying your application has been sent for review, it should only be about a week or two before you hear a decision!
  6. Yes, I was actually accepted to Shenandoah as well (Leesburg campus). I honestly haven't heard wonderful things about the program, it's apparently a bit disorganized and some students haven't had the best of luck with clinicals. But every program has its pros and cons! I haven't heard much about Altoona, but I do know that Penn State has excellent programs!
  7. Congrats to everyone that has been accepted! What other schools have you been accepted to? I'm currently deciding between George Washington and VCU. If I decline my offer, you'll move up another spot! Good luck!
  8. I actually switched my interview date to this Saturday, 2/20. So I'm not sure yet!
  9. For everyone that has already had their W2 interview, how long were you there for?
  10. I'm also waiting anxiously for a decision! I applied to George Washington and Drexel as well, and was accepted to both. I decided to go ahead and submit my deposit to GW to reserve my seat (the due date was 1/11), but VCU still isn't out of the running. I just hate how we find out so late!
  11. The group is not private, so you should be able to find it. But here is the link! https://www.facebook.com/groups/163743073991846/
  12. I'll try to copy and paste the link and see if that helps! https://www.facebook.com/groups/163743073991846/
  13. I'll attach the link and see if that helps! https://www.facebook.com/groups/163743073991846/
  14. Hi everyone! I created a Facebook group for those of us that will be starting GW's ABSN program in the fall. You should be able to search "George Washington ABSN Fall 2016" on FB and find it.
  15. Okay, I started a group on Facebook! You should be able to search "George Washington ABSN Fall 2016" and it'll bring you to it.
  16. If no one else wanted to, I wouldn't mind starting a Facebook page for our class!
  17. If anyone finds out the name of the Facebook group, let me know! I just paid my deposit yesterday so I'd love to start meeting other students!
  18. Does anyone know when in August the program begins?
  19. Congrats to you both! I'm not sure how GW's financial aid works, but I will definitely be looking more into that within the next few weeks. I applied to the W2 program and have an interview on February 6th!
  20. I've heard great things about GW, so you should definitely apply! I graduated in May with a BS in biology and an overall GPA of 3.60. The only "experience" I had was a few months volunteering at a PT clinic and a month-long internship with VCU's heart failure and transplant program (for college credit).
  21. I tried PMing you but I think that feature is disabled for me since I'm fairly new [emoji53]
  22. My application was forwarded on 12/4 and I found out I was accepted on 12/14. So not long after!
  23. Hi there! I was accepted to GWU on Monday, and am super excited because it's one of my top choices. I will likely not hear back from any other schools before my decision/deposit deadline, so I want to make sure I am confident with my choice before dropping $500. I would love to get your insight on the program! What are the pros/cons in your opinion? Also, I assume you have graduated by now, so congrats!

  25. Yes I found out I was accepted on Monday! I also applied to Shenandoah, Jefferson, Drexel, and VCU. I'm a bit bummed about GW's early decision/deposit deadline because I really wanted to hear back from other schools before committing (especially Drexel & VCU). GW is my top choice so I will likely accept the offer, although it would be nice to have other options. If all else fails and I change my mind, I guess I'll just have to lose the $500 deposit (cringe). Where else have you applied?
